Long title, I know, I know, but it's the best I got at the moment so bare with me.

Through out the show Gumball and Darwin are slowly realizing that they are in a tv show. The evidence are in the episodes. Let's look into this a bit more.

#1. S2 Ep8 - The Job
In this episode the pink, lazy bunny, Richard Watterson gets a job as a Pizza Delivery Guy. This causes strange things to happen in Elmore. The reason for this is because Richard's role is the Jobless, Lazy Dad. Him going against this causes chaos for Elmore.
Also it shows a few of the characters in different styles, them noticing as well.

#2. S2 Ep24 - The Sidekick
This episode is about Darwin and his unhappiness with his archetype as a Sidekick. In the end he accepts his role as the Sidekick.

#3. S3 Ep1 - The Kids
In this episode Gumball and Darwin change voice actors and they know that they have been 12 for several years.

#4. S3 Ep8 - The Extras
All the side & background characters learn what they are, Side/Background Characters, and decide to have their own adventures.

#5. S3 Ep12 - The Void
This episode is about, well, the void.
The Void is where the designers, animators and creators put all the scrapped ideas or ideas that just didn't work out. Like Molly Collins and Rob. They just weren't working out so they got scrapped.

#6. S3 Ep25 - The Pizza
The Watterson figure out that Larry Needlemeyer is the only retail worker in all of Elmore. Yes, you do see some other workers in the show but Larry is the main filler.

#7. S3 Ep32 - The Safety
This episode is about censorship

#8. S3 Ep35 - The Countdown
Gumball and Darwin notice how they jump place to place on their way to school. Like how they can be in their house one moment then at School the next.

#9. S3 Ep40 - The Money
The Wattersons animation quality worsens as they lose money. They are fully aware of the problem and panic.

#10. S4 Ep2 - The Nemesis
Gumball and Darwin apparently know that most characters have an archetype and help Rob find his, turning him into Dr. Wrecker, the villain of the show.

#11. S4 Ep24 - The Signal
Gumball and Darwin almost find out they are a cartoon when the signal cuts out throughout Elmore, while effecting the real world too.

#12. S4 Ep40 - The Disaster &
         S5 Ep1 - The Rerun
Now we won't be focusing on Rob in this episode. The Remote is far more important. Rob somehow finds a remote (maybe in the void? Or maybe from the guy in the van?) that can do all the things we can do to our own tv. Rewind, fast forward, pause, etc.

#13. S5 Ep4 - The Boredom
A crossover from 3 other cartoons.
Clarence and his mom, Mary, driving down the road.
Then Mordecai and Rigby in the Park.
And Uncle Grandpa who breaks the 4th Wall (like usual) with a "Good Mornin' "

#14. S5 Ep8 - The Test
In this episode Gumball isn't the main character anymore, Tobias is. Gumball, Darwin, and Sarah are the only ones who notice this.

#15. S5 Ep11 - The Copycats
The Watterson Family meet a rip-off version of them that copy everything the do and are.
Gumball meets Kiki, Darwin meets Quake
But no rip-off Anais... weird.

And that's it! If their are any episodes that I forgot that support this theory pls let me know and I'll add it!!

Thank you all for reading!
