F/N POV
The alarm clock in my phone woke me up. Today was a day off so I could wander around the city, hoping something interesting would happen. After some time I got to the border of the district in which I lived, and the district that was destroyed as a result of this... incident... The bridge has already been repaired, but the entire district was still in ruins. It took almost a month and a half, and no progress was made in repairing this place... Maybe I'll see why they do nothing...
Access to this district was blocked by heavily armed policetroops. I went to the fence built by the police.
- "Stop!" - Armed with combat armor and assault rifle, policeman aimed his weapon and came to me. - "Civilians are not allowed here! Go away! Now!"
- "Easy, I'm not going to trouble you. I just want to know why repair is going so slowly." - I raised my hands and asked in a calm voice
- "People who are not connected to what happened here don't need to know anything about it..." - Then one of the policemen turned and looked at me for a moment
- "Hey, is not this guy who destroyed this place?" - The policeman pointed to me and everyone looked at me. A policeman in combat armor kept his eyes on me and called to one of his men
- "Private! "
- "Yes sir!"
- "Bring me files about what happened here."
- "Yes sir!" - The young man saluted and disappeared into some tent set by them. After a while, he returned with a folder that he gave to policeman in the armor
- "Do not take your eyes off him."
- "Yes sergeant!" - The older policeman said, put down his gun and started to read something, while the younger one aimed his weapon at me
- "Heh... Indeed..." - He pulled out a small photo and held it next to my face - "Identico." - He put everything back in his folder and gave it to younger policeman - "Open the gate." - Two policemen saluted and opened the gate - "And you, come in and follow me." - I lowered my hands and followed the sergeant - "What are you looking for here bomber?" - Guy laughed under his breath
- "I've already said. Why is the repair of this place so slow?"
- "Heavy equipment has a problem with working there, because there are still problems with the supply of electricity."
- "What problems?"
- "We know that electricity is supplied to this district, but the charger doesn't transfer energy to the generator."
- "Maybe I will be able to help you?"
- "How?" - I started to emit tiny sparks from my hands, not to scare anyone and unnecessary interest.
- "A blessing in disguise. After this accident, I received electrical powers."
- "Well... In that case, maybe you really can help us..."
We entered the area of the destroyed district. Then I felt as if my head was going to explode! I grabbed my head and bent in half in pain!
- "Hey, are you okay?" - Sergeant asked.
- "I feel like I have a head in a vise... and I'm awfully sleepy... But I don't know why..."
- "In that case, maybe it will be better if you come back home?"
- "No no no... I will endure it. Lead the way." - We arrived at the entrance to the city sewers.
- "Okay, we'll be contacting with you through walkie-talkies, you'll have to reach the charger and then the substation and turn it on." - He gave me the walkie-talkie, and I put them into pocket on my backpack shoulder
