Chapter 3

When I got to 2nd block all eyes were on me. "Uhh, what's going on?" I asked no one in particular. "Hello Ms. Dixion we have a little surprise from someone real special!" Mrs. Partin said. "I need you to sit right here okay." She said slightly pushing me towards the chair.

When I sat down and put my book bag down I looked at Mrs. Partin. "So what's the big surprise?" Iasked. Everyone started giggling and whispering things I couldn't understand. "Just watch this short video please." She smiled turning on the projector. When the screen popped up it was a picture of me and Taylor from Kindergarten.

I gasped. As the video continued it showed our pictures from kindergarten til now. At the end of the video it was Taylor he said " Skye, today is a really special day for not only me but for us, I can't wait for this afternoon." When the lights turned back on everyone was back to staring at me, this time smiling and giggling more.

"Mrs. Partin, can I ask you something?" I asked as I pulled her to the side. "Yes you may." " What does Taylor have planned for me?" "I know you know." I said placing my hand on my hip. "Why yes I do know, but I promised I wouldn't tell you." She said giggling at my facial expression. "Mrs. Partin!" I whined dragging he name. "Nope I'm sorry Skye but it's what he wants, you only got one more class and you'll find out, ok?" she said draping her arm over mine. "Okay, i guess." I said as we walked back in the classroom.

It felt like her class was going by extra slow. I grabbed my phone and headphones out and started listening to music. I was in the middle of Sam Smith Lay Me Down when I got a text from Taylor. It said :

Tay ❤️: What you up to? I'm bored.

Me: in Mrs. Parties class, I like how you just leaving me clueless with these hints!

Tay ❤️: aw is the baby mad 😂 ctfu

Me: 😒 whatever nigga I'll see you after class 👊

After I sent that class was over. I grabbed my stuff and headed for my car. When I exited the building I notice something green and red and pink around my car. Once I got closer I could see there were balloons and flowers everywhere. "What the world?" I said smiling. When I went to reach for the pink flower Taylor pops out of no where. "no no no, you can't touch those until you answer these few questions for me."

I laughed, "Okay,shoot." I tilted my head to the side waiting for the question and wondering why he looked so nervous. "This is harder than I thought." He said clearing his throat. "Skye, we've known each other for years and i can honestly say that you're more than just my bestfriend..." "and I know our friendship anniversary is coming up soon and to celebrate I got two questions to ask you..."

"Skylar Dixion, will you do the honors of being my girlfriend, and going to prom with me?"
