I watched as Moonflower went through the same painful process that took my Mother. I was sitting near Moonflower's nest and watching her have kits.
"Just a little more! One more big push and the first one is out! You can do it, Moonflower!" Goosefeather meows, with his paw on Moonflower's stomach/abdomen area.
"You are doing great, Moonflower." Swiftbreeze meows, encouraging Moonflower.
"I know you can do it, Moonflower. You are very strong, like me!" I meow, purring encouragingly.
Moonflower pushed strongly, panting as she did so. I saw a kit appear magically. (I do not want to get into to much detail)
***Timeskip to the naming part of kitten birth***
"What will you call them?" Featherwhisker, Goosefeather's apprentice, asks Moonflower.
"The blue kit is named Bluekit and the white one is named Snowkit." Moonflower meows.
"I will be in the clearing so you can have space, Moonflower." I meow. I walk out of the nursery and to the fresh-kill pile.
"Roarkit, how is Moonflower?" Pinestar, our leader, asks me.
"She is okay. She had two she-kits." I meow, dipping my head in respect.
"That's good. Are you going to get some fresh-kill, Roarkit? I will join you." Pinestar asks me. I nod and walk beside the red-brown tom to the fresh-kill pile. I drag a plump mouse from the pile and pick it up in my mouth. I walk over to the area around the apprentices den. Pinestar follows quietly with a plump vole in his mouth.
"Are you really okay with eating with me, Pinestar?" I ask Pinestar.
"I am okay with it. Do you not want me here?" Pinestar asks me.
"I am okay with you being here, I was just curious." I meow. I eat my mouse and wait for Pinestar to finish eating.
"I want to talk to you. Follow me." Pinestar meows. I follow Pinestar to his den. "Long ago, Goosefeather and I received a prophecy. It said 'The roaring Warrior will save the clan, with fire'. Do you know what that means, Roarkit?" Pinestar asks me.
"No, I do not. Why are you telling me this, Pinestar?" I ask Pinestar.
"I told you this because I think you are the 'Roaring Warrior', Roarkit. When it is time for you to be an apprentice, Sunfall will be your mentor. I expect that you will do good, Roarkit." Pinestar meows. I dip my head respectively and leave Pinestar's den. So Starclan has been planning something for me, huh?
