As soon as they reached their destination, Maddy bolted out of the car and Skylar followed closely behind. You could smell the alcohol linger in the air, it burned at her nostrils, the smell of a certain liquor she couldn't pin point. The music was blaring from speakers inside the building, every time the door opened you could distinguish the song and its lyrics until the door closed again and you were left hearing nothing but mumbling and the sound of the bass rumbling the walls. There was an entire lineup by the side of the building, yet Maddy went straight for the door, Skylar rushed to grab her back the hand and pull her back- she wasn't going to just let her cut the line!
"Relax! We're on the list! They know me!" Maddy brushed Sky off with a seductive smile, this was Maddy's 'I got this' smile, which Skylar knew too well. Maddy headed straight for the door, the bouncer stood guard, a good head taller than them despite the fact they were both wearing heels. An intimidating man, that was for sure. Very muscular, his black t-shirt almost seeming a few sized too small considering how it stretched across his torso, slightly sheering out. As soon as he saw Maddy, his stern face drew a smile and he waved her over gesturing her to go again. Maddy batted her eyelashes, thanking him before dragging Skylar into the club.
As soon as she stepped foot inside, a wave of heat hit her. Bodies all around her were grinding and bumping into each other to the beat of the music which was playing so loudly there was no way to entertain a conversation. Maddy had her fingers laced with Skylars as she pushed her way through the crowd, this girl would be nasty on any playing field. She wasn't afraid to elbow her way through a crowd, another trait Skylar needed to work on. She'd already improved greatly, for she needed to defend herself when Maddy wasn't around- but with Maddy here, she'd let the experts work. The feisty red head shoved her way through the crowd and towards a staircase, turns out this club had a rooftop level. Skylar, being a partial hermit, had no idea whatsoever. To be honest, she'd never even actually been to this club. Clearly, Maddy had.
Reaching the rooftop, there were red cushioned love seats everywhere, there were beautiful string lights which hung loosely between crafted wood beams which framed the entire patio. A small bar pressed against the far corner had only two bartenders catering to everyone who lounged up here, in the entirely different atmosphere than the club bellow them. The music up here was more peaceful, more jazz-like, classic almost. It seemed as if the perfect place for a cocktail hour. In a far corner by the glass railing protecting everyone from a terrible fall off the building, were their group of friends! The pair ran over and in typical fashion there was loads of shrieking, Skylar laughed hugging them. The entire clique involved Amber, Mikelle and Brittany- without needing to mention Maddison and Skylar.
The girls had appropriated a few of the velvet love seats in the corner, there were drinks sprawled against the glass patio table. They'd obviously been here for a little bit already, probably threw back a few drinks, gossiped. Maddy turned to face Sky,
"Sky, would you get us some drinks?" She plead with her angel face, and naturally, Sky obliged.
She strolled over to the bar unconsciously letting her upper torso and her head move to the music. Once she got there, she waited a minute or so to be approached by the bartender once they finished up what they were doing. The bartender approached, even more tan than she was- but his tan was definitely a year round one. Definitely Central American of some sort, definitely a handsome man, definitely gay. He was sporting a vest with cut off sleeves which was left unbuttoned, a man bun and smudged eyeliner. As soon as he approached her, his eyes lit up and he smiled asking what he could grab her. Sky put her palms down on the bar and leaned forward then back, hesitant and thinking.
"How aboooout... grab me a cosmo and a glass of rose please" she said and then pulled out her credit card from her clutch and handed it over to him, "Just keep a tab running for every girl in that area" she said and pointed to their group of chatty, attractive girls giggling and talking in the corner. He smiled and nodded putting it up to his face, his eyes widened.
