My eyes lay on you
Standing on that stage
Your eyes speak the truth
And as you start singing, I know I've begun a new page
I can feel your eyes on me
I know you want me to love myself
Your sincere love makes me see
That I'm not the only one who needs help
Only you can make me feel that way
only you can conjure that smile on my face
And only you let my dark thoughts lay
Deep inside where I can't hear them anymore. Buried in a maze
Of thoughts
I know you mean these words you sing
Even though my thoughts tell me you don't
That's the reason my heart still stings
When I think you won't
Love me someday
Because I am difficult
Because loving me weighs
More than it should
