It's the year 1960, in a small town in the state of Kentucky, live a group of people called, "The sinners of yesteryear,".

These people, as the legend says, are descendants of those who were punished by God for rebelling against him, and it was prophesied that when their king is born, they will wage war against God's people, destroying the whole world in the process, and among these people is a boy name zealot.

His condition thought similar is a bit more unusual, with his light skin, striking gray eyes and a scar that covers the left side of his face, he appears quite otherworldly or frightening to most.

As Zealot is leaving his house, he sees two kids his age, they are whispering about him,

"Is that him?" says the girl.

"Who?" the boy asked.

"Zealot, the leader of the yesteryear sinner," answered the girl with tension in her voice.

"Where did you hear that?" he asks trying to shut her up, as she begins to explain some more, he grabs her mouth, Zealot had stopped when he heard them talked about him, but he did not turn around and began walking again.

A few seconds after he left, the girl slaps the boy hands from her mouth,

"what was that for, are you trying to kill me?" she asked, breathing uncontrollably.

"you deserved it for trying to get me into trouble," he responded, quite angry

"I was just wondering if you knew him," She replied, innocently

"I just moved here, how would I know him," he said, with a little agitation in his voice.

"ahh, sorry, I forgot," she responded with embarrassment streaming from her cheek,

"anyway, let's go, or we are going to be late," he said.

"I know, but aren't you interested in what I was going to say," she asked him.

realizing she was going to tell him whether he wanted to hear it or not, he responded,

"I'm interested,"

with a little twinkle in her eyes, she began explaining as they walked.

" I'm sure you already know about the people of yesteryear," she said, giving him a questioning look, with a serious face, he nods.

" he's one of them," she said with a chill in her voice

"liar, he doesn't look like them at all," he replied, with a disbelieving look

"the rumors are, he's their chosen, that's why he looks so different," she said,

After a few second she hadn't got any response from him, having walk a little further, she turns around but is met with his still body and a blank expression.

startled she walks over to him and ask, "Aaron, Aaron are you okay!?" and like he was in a trance,

he snaps back to reality " what!" he asks loudly,

"nothing, you just seem out of it for a second," she responded a little frighten, just as they are about to say something, both realize they were already at school, in a hurry both exchange goodbye and leaves.

Zealot class has a new student today, the new student stands in front of the class as he's asked to introduce himself.

"My name is Aaron Bennett, I'm 18 years old and I moved here two months ago".

Aaron had a very unique look, he had a red bandana on his forehead, had earing in both his ears, wore baggy jeans with overly large shirt, and had a snapback hat, and despite his age, he was in the 9th grade, which wasn't that weird to the student, as most were the same.

This town was called Sunnydale because the weather was always warm in the day.

This was a Christian town, so most of the school follow certain guidelines, but on his first day of school, Aaron had broken all of them.

The teacher was smiling but her face twitched continuously as if she was angry but could say nothing of it.

After he introduced himself, he was greeted by other students, some had an excited look, while some looked disgusted/hateful/envious, and some outright ignored him, Zealot fell into that category.

"Take the second to the last chair in the far left role," said the teacher.

He turns to her, "thanks miss lucky," he responded, feeling a little awkward, as he walked to his seat, everyone looked shocked, in exception of the teacher, she was smiling but this time, out of satisfaction.

When Aaron finally looked toward the role he was seated in, his expression dropped.

The role had only one person, but there were many chairs and the person was seated in the last chair on that role.

Aaron was all too familiar with this person because this was The boy his friend Carman told him about this morning.

Discarding what happened this morning, with a somewhat awkward smile on his face, he walked and sat right in front of him.

"open your Bible to where we left off yesterday, and Aaron, since you are new today, ask Zealot to share his bible with you," says the teacher,

Aaron immediately felt a chill on his back, as the students chuckle at what she said, he had a feeling this boy was an outcast but he still agreed

"Hey, can you be my partner," he whispers at zealot under his breath

"no," was zealot response, despite what the teacher said he refused.

Aaron looked a bit startled by his fast response, but he still tried to ask again

"this is just for today, please?"

"I said no!" zealot responded, raising his eyebrow a little, the whole classroom goes dead, and you can almost see the tension in the air, looking at him in his eyes, Aaron realizes how scary he looked, he then turns around, seeing as it's useless to argue over.

Over the course of the first week of school, Aaron had realized his suspicion was right, zealot had no friends, he was completely isolated from the rest of the school.

Even though there were a few people like him, they all formed their own groups and didn't really see him as one of them.

After observing all this, he wanted to be his friend so bad, he just hated seeing people lonely, and Zealot seems to have been the person he was looking for.
