Kita's POV
Neo changed forms a good 10 times before staying human. "How did you do that?!?" I gawked, I had never seen anything like it! "I dunno" he replied getting up and dusting off his shirt. He looked around my room, then sat on my bed. "So um, if you don't mind can I like follow you around to know Human stuff?" He asked. It was a very weird question but i agreed. We awkwardly set off for James's house, walking silently. I never knew cats could transform into humans, I wonder if they all can...
We made it to James's house and he turned back cat, we walked in without knocking "what's up losers" I said laughing. "The sky" Peyton replied. "Where is Callum?" I asked while looking around the room. "He has the flu, he couldn't come." Peyton and James replied at the same time. "Oh, I plopped my head down on Peyton's lap and my feet on James's, they nearly didn't reach him but they did, probably because I'm, um, dwarf like. Neo hopped up onto my lap, now a cat stacked on a human that is stacked onto two humans. "Who is he?" Peyton asked while petting him. "His name is Neo, I found him and decided to take him in." I replied and patted his head, trying to make it seem normal, even though he isn't.
We watched Netflix for about five hours, with a total of three bowls of popcorn, a whole pizza, three sodas each, and 2 bathroom breaks each. In the middle of the sixth season though... something...unexpected, happened.
All of our phones shouted, "This is not a drill, hurricane watch effect until June 7th, 2019." Our alarms ended after repeating the phrase a couple of times. I checked the weather app on my phone, we are in the direct path of it... great, and it's hitting soon, great. I sneakily handed the phone to James, Peyton was now on top of us, her head being on James and legs on me, she had fell asleep before the watch was effective. "I don't know if she is scared of storms..." James quietly said, "not sure.." I responded".
After around a hour, I had got up, Peyton's head was still on James though, and she was still asleep. I mean why was this the first thing I've heard about this hurricane, and it's strong and a couple towns away. The watch turned to a warning... so looks like Peyton and I are staying at James's house for a while. Neo hopped up on Peyton and sniffed her, he then seemed content, lied down, and fell asleep with her. The wind started howling and the skies started getting dark, then I knew it would be strong.
Peyton's POV—
Last thing I remember before falling asleep was my phone buzzing, now that I'm awake I hear sirens. I jerked my head up and looked around, the last siren I herd was for a severe storm, but had a feeling it was the purge. "GET THE WEAPONS THE PURGE IS HAPPENING" I yelled, "you're awake" James said and laughed "it's not the purge, a hurricane is about to hit" He nonchalantly said, "what?!?" I shockingly said. I had never been in a hurricane, so it was just my luck that within three weeks of moving here there is one. "How strong?!? Like should I go home?!?" I asked, this was not normal, when I was younger, heck even still, I loved studying weather, so they usually tell you to evacuate when it's strong! It can't be too strong right? "Category 3 soon to turn 4, you probably shouldn't go home speaking that the wind is picking up a lot." James replied like it happens all of the time, "If you guys need anything for pajamas, I wouldn't mind letting you wear something I have." James said, "Nah, I wore what I wear for pajamas" Kita laughed, "I would need something, if you don't mind of course." I asked him. "Sure! I'll get you something." He walked into his room and soon returned with ball shorts and a red hoodie, I took them from him, " thank you" I thanked him, "no problem" he answered, I went and changed into his clothes, and no, I've learned that guy clothes are not as cute as Pinterest says, but comfy. I walked back into the living room, sat back on the couch and went to my happy place, at least I'll be in my first hurricane with James and Kita.
