The Demon and its Prey(On Hold)

High School Life

Beep beep beep~

"Shut up you stupid alarm clock!" I scream as I knock it over. It was 6am, meaning it is time to go to school, me and my friends make an acronym for it:

Seven
Cruel
Hours
Of
Our
Lives

Clever right? Well, I mean it's true to be fair. Getting out of bed I make my way over to my mirror. Messy jet black hair, toned body and my brown eyes, just like everyday. I have been wanting to change my hair for so long but my parents will not let me. I'm 18 and I'm not a little kid anymore so they should let me do what I want right? Wrong. They still treat me like a child and it is really annoying to be honest.

I put on a sweatshirt and my jeans brushing my hand through my hair. Well there is no getting out of school today, putting on my shoes and grabbing my school bag I get in my car and drive to what I call my own personal hell, Pine View High.

It takes five minutes and I pull into my parking spot and walk inside to meet up with my friends.

"Hey Drex what is up my man?" Finn says as I walk up to the group.

"Yeah, we have not had a chance to really see each other lately, you work way too hard take a break for once will you?" Adding onto what Finn has said.

"I have been busy with school and the footballs team, I know. I like having A's in my classes unlike you two, and I'm free this weekend by the way so if you guys want to hang out it is up to you both." I could care less on where we would hangout, and yes we have not been together because I have been super busy but it is school it is always hard work and therefore my fun suffers.

"How about Cedar Run?" Lukas suggests. The old abandoned house in the middle of the forest? You have got to be kidding me. I am not scared or anything, just trespassing is not my thing let alone it's illegal. "I heard it is haunted and all these demonic rituals are performed, pretty sick if you ask me."

"Umm...you do realize that's trespassing right?" I know they are stupid but THIS stupid? Not possible, at least I thought so.

"So what? It is fun, you get to explore what has been left to die, rot away day by day. That place you are referring to has been abandoned for a hundred years almost and the location is known by a select few, it took me forever to find out where pinpoint location this place is including the history on it."

"Fine! I will go, but only to shut you up because I know too well that you are not going to stop pestering me unless I give in so." I can not believe I am even agreeing to do anything even like this, I am a good kid and I do not do anything of this sort, well if we get caught I'm in for it.

"Great, so I will send you the location after school. Wear dark clothes, bring a flashlight maybe even extra batteries while you are at it, something to cover you mouth because I doubt you want 100 year old dust and whatever in your airway and I will bring the rest. Deal?"

"Yeah man, deal." The bell rings to let us know to get to first period. Cooking first, how exciting... Putting my bag down I listen on a lecture that could possibly put someone to sleep in a matter of minutes and I am pretty sure half of the class is actually asleep if you ask me. We do a few worksheets and a quiz on kitchen safety which I ace no problem, what a surprise.

Second period, Criminal Justice. It is not that I full on hate the class, it's just that I already know everything they are teaching us. How you might ask? My parents are cops and well taught me everything I need to know about it.

Five boring hours later school is finally over, I cannot wait to lay down and take a break for once in my life. I didn't have practice today so I get to go home early.

Walking through the door my mother slams me with the whole 'how was school, what did you do, did you make any new friends, etc." spiel. Parents are so annoying. Finally getting to my room I fall onto my bed intentionally thinking about tonight and what I had agreed to. Was I really going to go or was I going to stand them up? It is illegal and we would go to jail if we were to be caught, very risky. I do not know what I am going to do.
