Chapter Six

I woke up in a dark room. I heard a chain, then a snap- the light blinded me. I could see now the metal rusted, and walls lit in yellow, stained in brown. A desk had been shoved right up to one side, with a paper taped to the wall in front of it. I was surrounded with tiled walls. There was no visible method of exit. I examined my surroundings, emerging from drowsiness I found myself heavily roped down to a school chair. The desk, I notice, had a space for books- likely taken from some sort of educational facility or other. My feet on the ground, I tried shuffling around awkwardly. This helped me move fairly well. I noticed that my hands where untied.
Next I looked for knots to untie. I grabbed at tight rope yet found nothing, no end- like giant rubber bands wrapped around me. Frantically my face flushed and my body turned hot, my fingers  burnt from many attempts. Eventually I fell flat on my face, and felt my smushed nose slide and crumple a piece of white computer paper. In very small, formal font it read; "please don't try anything. you will only hurt yourself, for which there is no need." I had seen enough stereotypical movies to know all sorts of horrors could await me. However, that was not a very major concern- it was all rather unreal, you see- or at least it felt so. I gave up pretty quick, I was a submissive person in general.
I used my hands and the tips of my feet to push myself up, almost tumbling backwards in the process. I decided to go up to the desk with nothing else to do. There was a blank paper an eraser, and a dull stick of lead. The paper in front of me had a single word written on it, so small I had to squint even though near by. It read, "absurd".
I then felt myself confused. I could recall how in a car ride, the sun covered by moving trees would flash through the gaps like strobe lights. I couldn't stand it when this happened- I couldn't think or see, nothing would work- I was aware yet my mind would go blank. I felt this happen all of a sudden and with no origin, and I screamed as though in agony. But I had no clue as to why.
