Over Again

Chapter 2 - Memory

Audrey’s POV

I stepped out of the cab after I paid the fare.

“Good Morning Miss! Sino po sila?” tanong nung guard na nakangiti.

“Audrey Fortez.” Sabi ko at ngumiti rin.

“… Miss Audrey!? Nako! Ikaw na bata ka! Bakit nag taxi ka? Di ba alam ng mga kuya mo na darating ka? Bakit di ka manlang nagsabi?” tanong niya ng gulat na gulat.. Ah! Naalala ko na! siya si Manong CJ, Ayus! Ang tagal na niyang naging guard dito ha. Nakilala naman ako nung guard at agad akong pinagbuksan ng gate.

“They know. Di ko po kasi alam kung sino ang susundo saakin eh. Besides, di ko na po alam kung ano na ang itsura ngayon ni kuya. Iba po kasi sa personal diba?” sabi ko sabay tawa. Tinulungan na niya akong dalhin ang maleta ko at pumasok sa bahay. I can speak and understand tagalong. Tinuturuan ako ni Mom, ayaw lang talaga ni Dad na magtagalog ako sometimes, ang sakit daw sa tenga eh.

Nasa harap na ako ngayon ng main door, binuksan naman iyon ng mga nanny. Pumasok na ako at pinaakyat ang mga gamit ko, whew! Parang kalian lang nung bata pa ako, naglalaro pa kami nila kuya at nung isang lalaki dito sa sala. Nasaan kaya sila?

Paakyat na ako ng room ko ng may narinig akong boses ng dalawang lalaki na nagtatalo. Bumaba ako ng hagdan at nagtago sa likod nung door.

“What the heck Josh!? Saan na natin siya hahanapin ngayon? Huh?”

“Sorry, there was this girl kasi na ang daldal, kaya siguro nung papunta na ako naka alis na siya-”

“SURPRISE!!!” sigaw ko nang makapasok na sila. HOT! Picture them, si kuya Kent nakatayo at naka kunot ang noo yung guy naman na isa….

“YOU!”
“IKAW!” sabay naming sabi.

“Audrey? H-how did you get here?” naguguluhang tanong ni kuya with a worried expression at lumapit saakin at niyakap.

“Duh! Of course I took the cab.” Sabi ko tapos tumawa.

“Aww. Look at you! You’re so beautiful and tall.. and…you’re so thin, are you eating nutritious foods?” tanong niya at humiwalay sa pagkakayakap niya.

“Thank you! And Of course I am eating-”

“Who is she?” tanong nung guy na hindi na namin napansin…

“Kent, she’s the girl I was referring a while ago… who is she? Why do you know her?” naguguluhang tanong niya parin.

“Josh, this is Audrey, my sister. Siya yung dapat pupuntahan mo at di mo manlang napansin kanina, so, how do you know each other? I mean, what happened?”

“He’s the one who started it.” I pout as I put my arms around my brother’s hips.
“He’s not looking where he’s going and he knocked me down.” I said pointing that Josh… his name… I know that name. I must’ve heard it somewhere.

“What!? Yeah but I said sorry a few times.” Tumawa nalang si kuya Kent causing me and Josh look at him at sabay nanaman kaming nag salita.

“What’s funny?” ginulo niya ang buhok ko at tumawa ulit.

“Just like old times sis, just like old times.” He smiled and headed to the kitchen.

“What…do you mean?” tanong ko.

“Kumain ka na ba? Come and let’s eat, nagpaluto ako ng mga favorite food mo.” Sabi niya at ngumiti. Whoa! That smile tho. Easy there bro… please. Kung di ko lang ito kuya, niligawan ko na ito.

“Chicken Curry?! Great. Perfect. Awesome. That’s my favorite, thanks Kent!” sabi ni Josh at pinat ang balikat ni kuya and he walked pass through us. Di pa siya nakakailang hakbang at nalagpasan si kuya, hinawakan ni kuya Kent agad ang collar ng damit niya.

“Back off! That’s for Audrey.” He said almost in a whisper.

Wait. Favorite food yun ni Josh?

“Ow!”

“Audrey! Let’s go inside, kakain na tayo ng lunch. And guess what? Favorite food mo ang pinaluto ko.” I know that voice. It’s mom’s voice.

“Yippee! Thank you, mom! I love you!” I said kissing and hugging her causing her to laugh a little.

“I love you too my little princess.” She returned the hugs and kisses.

“Mom…”

“Yes baby?” sabi niya at tinignan ako.

“Can I invite someone? It’s also his favorite food.”

“Who?”

And someone appeared… It’s blurry. The image is blurred. It’s a boy, and I can’t see his face. Who is he?

“Hey. Answer me, are you ok?” tinignan ko siya. Kuya.

“Are you hurt? What’s happening to you?” sabi ni Josh.

“Y-yeah. I’m fine. My head… just hurts. B-but I’m fine now.” I said and stood up. Ewan nahilo ako bigla at may naalala akong pangyayari na hindi ko matandaan.

“Gusto mo ba munang magpahinga?” I nodded. Inalalayan naman ako ni kuya papunta sa isang kwarto. Room ko. At ihiniga ako.

“Do you want something? Water? Food?”

“Nope. I’ll just take a rest for a while.” Binigyan ko siya ng assured smile.

“Ok.” He nodded and went out of my room.
