Chapter 10- Unfamiliar Face

A week ago, Jason and I got married. Without an engagement party or a dream wedding. Just by signing papers.

My mother never asked questions, she was actually very happy for me, since I'm marrying a millionaire...

We've been living in the Grant's house ever since. Jason's dad never did congratulate us, not that I wanted to, I just haven't seen him at all.

I had a separate room next to Jason on the second floor. My mother stayed in one of the rooms further down the hallway.

I sighed then placed my hand over my belly and rubbed it. My precious baby, I will take good care of you.

So many things has happened ever since I've gotten this job. I took my time comprehending everything.

On the other hand, Jason has grown on me. He started taking good care of me and my mother as he promised. He always made sure I ate enough, bought me some clothes as my old ones have gotten smaller. However, it doesn't mean that I started falling in love with him or anything.

I got up from bed and got ready for dinner. Yes, it's still happening. This time, Jason respects me and doesn't molest me under the table. I truly appreciate that.

I made my way downstairs and narrowed my eyes as I saw an unfamiliar face. A female was sitting on my chair, across from Jason.

She gave me dirty looks as I took an extra chair and placed it next to Jason. "Who's she?" She said in a bitchy tone.

"Stacy, meet Elena my wife. And Elena meet Stacy, my um.." he stopped talking for a moment. "Old friend".

"Hi" I said awkwardly in a small voice, not making eye contact with her.

I looked up at her and she rolled her eyes at me. What's her problem?

During dinner, she continuously kept staring at the distance between me and Jason. She also tried to provoke once she mentioned that they used to date back in high school. I have to admit that I did get a little bit jealous, but I let it slide.
