Chapter 19

Brianna's Pov

~two weeks later~

I look around and remember Toby. He and his brothers were getting bigger, the more you see them now. Their songs are being played on the radio now. I have build up a life here with my boyfriend, Chase. He knows about the whole Before You Exit battle and supports me no matter what.

I was going to work. I work at a local Dominos pizzeria. I could just feel today was going to be different.

"BUT I ORDERED A PEPPERONI PIZZA NOT THIS... CRAP!" the costumer shouted. The voice was strangely familiar so I look though the window. I saw Ryan, Ryan Wheeler. I gasped and he looked up through his sunglasses. "Brianna," he breathed. "You should come with me.. when is you shift over?" Ryan asked. I looked at my watch. "After I make you a new pizza, I can come," I giggled. I always had a good feeling for Ryan. He was fun to hang out with. "Okay, pepperoni this time," Ryan smirked. I nodded before making his pizza. I rolled out the dough and put on the sauce. I grabbed the cheese and sprinkled it all over the pizza. I put some pepperoni on it and shoved it in the oven.

Soon enough it beeped, I took it out of the oven and placed the pizza in a box. I carried it out to Ryan and gave it to him before going out to the bathroom to change out of my work clothes to a plain white shirt, jean short-shorts and black flip flops. I get my purse and wave Ryan over. He follows me and I realized my ride wasn't here.. I turn to Ryan. "Can I ride with you? My ride ditched me," I said with a sigh. "Sure, my car is over there," he pointed and we got in his car. "Thanks Ryan.. so why am I going with you?" I ask as I buckle my seat belt.

"Well, I think you should try and talk to Riley and Connor about it.. we all came because tour is starting up. So how's the baby?" Ryan asks.

"Well, with the old me I drank a bit to much.." I felt tears in my eyes as my voice cracked when I continued, "and it died before it was even born." Then I broke down in tears. I felt a hand go in circles on my back. "I'm sorry to hear that, Brianna."

"So where are we going again?"

"Surprise.."

I sigh when Ryan responded with surprise. He laughs and says, "we're here." I turn to face the road and see the tour bus. "Don't worry, Toby is out of the tour bus," Ryan smirked. I rolled my eyes and got out. We walked to the door when Ryan turned to me. "Riley and Connor just want to talk to you. They aren't mad, by the way." He opened up the door and we went in.

"I hope Ryan finds her before Toby does," I hear Connor say. We walk up to them, the haven't changed much. "He did," I giggle. They turn around and walk up to me. "Hey guys. Long time," I smile and hug them. "Yeah, I missed you buddy!" Connor said causing me to laugh. "I missed you too, but we kinda couldn't see each other," Riley said and they told me to sit.

"So, we had Ryan drag you here so we could talk to you about Toby. You should know he isn't the same," Riley said before continuing, "he's always so distant..just like the last time." I sigh and say, "but I'm over Toby. I would love to help.. but I can't. He just needs to help himself," I say before heading towards the door.

I walked home which wasn't that far away to see Chase making out with someone else. I stood looking in the room with my mouth open before I felt tears on my cheeks. "Chase! How could you?" I cry as I ran out of the house.
