"YEAH? which one? how you get the girl?," taylor asked, still clearly groggy from sleep.

"yes! that's the one. i know this is going to sound super crazy, babe. but i-uh, well, it sounds better in my head but..." karlie rushed. "kar, relax. calm down. what's wrong?" her girlfriend soothed.

"okay so, uh, i kind of recorded you? and i uploaded it into soundcloud and youtube and its going viral, taylor. i totally forgot about it these past few months but all of a sudden people are loving you, baby! they want to hear more. there are so many comments about how much they want to hear your other songs," karlie exclaimed.

there was a long moment of silence. "babe?," karlie mumbled.

"let me get this straight," taylor said, her voice sounding a lot more awake now, "you recorded me secretly, knowing that my singing and songwriting is what i'm insecure about the most and you posted it for the whole internet to see? karlie! what the hell? could you have been even considerate and asked for my permission?! you didn't even tell me. i trust you. i would never go behind your back and do that to you. this isn't even about the music, kar. it's about you violating my trust," taylor sighed, "i know you meant well but... i-i need to think about this. send me the link of the song."

"baby, i know that. and, i'm sorry. you just needed that push. you and i both know that and here is your opportunity. you love singing; i see it when you're strumming your guitar or when you're humming your favorite songs. you would have never let me post it, anyways!," she took a breath, "this can be something. i'm not asking you to just drop your internships - but why don't you just upload one more song. no commitment," karlie proposed, nervously twisting her hair.

"like i said, i'll text you. i'm flying home in two days, we can sort this out until then, okay?" taylor retorted.

"yeah, okay. i love you. bye," karlie said sadly. "bye, kar," taylor replied. she was a little upset about how taylor reacted. she just needs time, karlie thought. she opened her message app and sent her the links.
