Chapter 1, Inside The Excalibur

Jordan's POV

I'd wake up in my cryogenic sleep chamber, walking out of it. There would be millions of people also waking up around me, my brother William was also there. There would be robots waiting for people to transport to the central part of the ship where all the buildings and places were. "Let's head to the transports." Said, William. The two would head to the transport ships and they would enter it. The transport begins to go super fast. I'd see a bunch of buildings pass by before the transport stops and tells us to get off. I'd get off and the first thing I see is hundreds of buildings. I'd head to one of the robot tour guides. It was pretty boring, basically, the robot explained how there were no known hyperspace lanes from the Milkey Way to Andromeda so that's why they had to be put in cryogenic sleep.

I would walk towards the stand that would say "Get an Apartment" I would talk to the robot and I would be given directions to where I would be staying. The buildings would be neon with colourfull lights. The streets were filled with people and robots alike. I can't believe it's been 25,000 years.... It feels like the last time I saw my parents was yesterday. I'd walk to my room and I would put my hand on the pad on the right-hand side of the door. "Access granted." Said a female robotic voice. I entered the room as I saw 3 other people. "Guess you're the 4th person?" Said a redhead girl who was shorter than everyone else in the room. "Well, I'm Lizy, nice to meet you." Said the redhead.  "I'm Jordan." I said. The guy with his head facing the other way turned around, it was William. There was another girl with brunette hair and she was around the height of Jordan. "I'm Sasha." Said the brunette girl.

I'd get up from my bed and brush my teeth. I'd head to the fridge to look for food. I took a sandwich and ate it. We would be awake for 7 days before going back to cryogenic sleep. We'll be visiting the furthest humans have been outside of the Milky Way, a planet called Iyria VI. The planet was made from rocks and had no atmosphere until the humans arrived and terraformed it. The people living there have been disconnected from the rest of the Galaxy as they didn't have a hyperspace lane either. I headed down to downtown Excalibur to go see what was there. I saw many shops and restaurants. I went to the transport station and decided I would visit North Excalibur where all the available jobs were. You didn't need a job to survive as everything was provided for you but a job could give you bonus things such as access to restricted rooms, higher quality meals, and other things. I decided I would sign up for the military as it didn't need any skill and only needed brute strength. There were already millions of soldiers but I decided I wanted to join them. I headed towards the stand and signed myself up, first training was tomorrow. I return to my apartment to see William, Liza, and Sasha. "Where were you?" Asked Liza. "I signed up for the army." I replied. "What did you guys do?" I asked.

Sasha's POV

I walked out of my apartment and walked to the transport station. I took a tour of the Excalibur and then I realized it had taken 5 hours. I returned home to see fliers offering a job at the local pharmacy. I signed up as I had medical training. I would then go back home.

William's POV

I walked out of the room and directly towards the bar, I got a couple of drinks and got into a fight which I won of course. I was offered a job to be a mercenary of the ship. Less cool than it sounds. Basically, I get paid to do random stuff for the captain. Then I came back and blah blah blah, and here we are.

Liza's POV

I just stayed home and slept while watching cartoons.

Jordan's POV

I went to sleep with the rest of the gang and I woke up early. This was day 2 out of 7, I walked out of the apartment and headed to the transports where I went to the training camp. I walked through the gates and there was a middle-aged man standing in front of new recruits is what I'm assuming. I joined in on them and we waited for the rest of the enlists to come.
