Gray's PoV

I had hurried to get my clothes back so I could get back to spending quality time with Amanda. I sprinted down the streets in almost a sneaky manner, hoping that no one could see my half naked self. After traveling a block or two, I finally managed to find my shirt and pants.

I put them on and began my jog all the way back to the restaurant. I entered and walked back to our table. When I got there, I didn't see Amanda at all, which immediately made me panic. "Amanda..? Damn it where is she?" I looked around frantically before rushing out the door. "Amanda?!" I called out, looking to my right and left.

"S-stop it!" I heard that familiar voice in the distance. When I finally processed where the voice was coming from, I started for the alleyway to the left of me. There I saw a drunken man trying to restrain her. "Can't do anything now can you, weak little girl-" Rage filled my body. I charged at the man "GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER!!!" I yelled, punching him square in the jaw, hard enough to knock him off of balance and hit the side of the building.

As soon as I turned, I saw Amanda falling unconscious. I acted quickly to catch her, holding her close. My attention was brought back to the drunk that was on the ground, attempting to get up. "If you ever think about putting your hands on her again... I'll-" I stopped, I knew I had-had enough. I just need to get her home.

I slowly picked Amanda up, carrying her out of the alleyway while holding her like my life depended on it. I felt so angry with myself. I wasn't there to protect her... I failed to keep her safe. I feel as though I can never keep my eyes off of her. I looked down at the unconscious girl, admiring her beauty.

I had gotten Amanda home and in bed. I often found myself staring at her unconscious state, in hopes that she'll wake up. It was already sunset by then. I let out a soft sigh and stood up from the side of the bed, I bashfully took the opportunity to kiss Amanda's forehead before slowly walking out of the bedroom, turning to take one last look at her with pink cheeks.

I then walked out, quietly closing the door and make my way down stairs to cook some food. I don't know when Amanda will awaken so why not make food for her by the time she wakes up?

It's been about 4 hours since I brought Amanda home. She's still not woken up which worried me. I had to put her food in the fridge wrapped up so she could heat it up and eat it later. I looked out the window right next to my bed, it was pitch black out. Every single hour, I had checked on Amanda to make sure she was alright when unconscious.

As I finished the last sentence of the chapter I was reading of a book, I bookmarked it and closed it before getting up to check on Amanda once more. I opened my door and headed for the room next door to my own. There she was, laying in a peaceful silence. I took a deep breath as I walked over, sitting on the edge of the bed right by her side. I gently brushed her bangs aside, careful not to interrupt her rest.

She couldn't look more peaceful... I thought to myself, once again admiring her beauty. Moments later, I frowned. Her peaceful expression changed. She looked very disturbed and scared. Amanda began to groan in her sleep, gripping the covers. I started to panic a little.

Amanda's PoV

Images flashed through my mind. There was an ocean and... A tower..? A burning village... A boy with hazel eyes... Just like mine. The next thing I saw, was nothing but death... Torture... I heard their screams...

The next thing I knew, I jolted awake crying. "Amanda!" A familiar voice called. I immediately felt strong arms wrap around me. "G-Gray..?" I mumbled in a hoarse and shaky voice as tears flowed down my cheeks. I clang to him, feeling scared and insecure. Gray only hugged me tighter as I cried quietly.

Gray's PoV

I held Amanda tightly as she continued to cry. I wanted to know what was wrong. What did she see in that dream? What was so bad that made her cry this way? I rubbed her back and spoke softly in attempt to calm her down. "It's alright... You're safe now... I'm here..." I pet the back of her head as she took shaky breaths to calm down.

"G-Gray I-" I cut her off by placing my finger on her lips. I knew damn well that she was trying to apologize "Hush now., you had me so worried. You scared me... But you're okay now... How do you feel?" I asked softly. Amanda looked at her wrists. They were bruised by that man's strong grip. I frowned, holding her hands up to stare at the bruises with hatred.

"I-I'm okay... Just tired and hungry..." She wouldn't make eye contact with me. Upon hearing her being hungry, I stood up. "I'll go heat up your foo-" she grabbed my hand making me look over my shoulder at her questionably. "What is it?" I asked in a soft voice. "Don't leave me..." She said, with pink cheeks.

I sighed, sitting back on the back on the bed. "I... About my dream..." She started as I quietly listened to her. "I saw so many things... There was burning village and this weird... tower..?" She seemed so clueless. A burning village and a tower? That's weird. "And this boy, he had hazel eyes like mine, and blue hair hair..? I don't remember anymore.."

"I see..." I didn't know what to say or do. "Gray what if... What if they mean something... from y past..?" She asked with a face of worry. "Then we'll figure it out, together." I looked down at Amanda before wrapping my arm around her to pull her close. "Now, you said you were hungry,  I'm going to go heat up your food." I slowly stood up but Amanda just wouldn't let go of me.

I sighed, knowing what she wanted. I turned around and pulled the covers off of her lap, my arm slipping underneath her legs and my other behind her back to support her as I lifted her with ease. "You're stubborn, I swear." I exclaimed with no regrets. "S-shush! You're more stubborn than me!" Amanda declared, pinching my cheeks.

"Oh pleash..." I tried to speak as she stretched my cheeks "o-ow s-stop!" My cheeks became a little pink, as she giggled. Amanda let go while I carried her down the stairs and into the kitchen. I set her down on an island stool before getting her food from the fridge. After heating it I talked as Amanda ate.

We eventually started to watch TV before I noticed Amanda yawned as she was cuddled up to me. "Tired..?" I asked quietly. "n-no..." Amanda slowly started to doze off. I quietly turned the TV off and proceeded to pick her up. I slowly and carefully carried her up stairs and back into her bedroom where I laid her back in her bed. Though as I tried to tuck her in, she kept clinging to me, grabbing onto my necklace, seeing as I was practically naked. I tried to get her hand off from gripping it gently. "G-gray..." She mumbled my name, barely able to keep her eyes open.

"hmm..?" I looked down at her "stay with me..." I blushed as she begged me to stay with pink cheeks. I couldn't resist, so I nodded bashfully. I then walked around to the other side of the bed and laid down, getting under the covers. Amanda immediately clang to me "I'm cold..." she whispered as I wrapped my arms around her. "I'm not much warmer..." I replied quietly. "No... You're... warm..." Amanda had dozed off, leaving me with pink cheeks.

As time slowly passed, I started to become fatigued my self. I could barely keep my eyes open. Amanda was still clinging to me as I was her. Memories started to play back in my head as I closed my eyes. The last time we slept together was 3 years ago... The day after we had taken Amanda in... It seemed like yesterday. Not only did the memory hurt, but it brought joy to my heart. I don't know what I would do if Amanda wasn't here with me. Who would I be? What it have been like..? The questions had replayed in my head as I began to lose myself to the rest I had needed. I only pray that nothing tear Amanda and I apart. Never...
