Now hear me out:
Imagine, girls, that everyone you know, except maybe one or two people, is either a boy or agender.
Boys, imagine the same thing, except everyone is either a girl or agender. Now imagine,
People never acknowledge your gender when speaking to a group you're in, and only address the group by the two genders that the large majority identify as,
You're called by the wrong pronouns every day of your life,
Many people don't believe that your gender exists,
You feel pressured to give in to society's norms and accept a gender label that's not right for you, just because you look like a certain gender,
And the possibility that you could be something besides the two genders that are well-known in society never even crosses anyone's mind.Do you maybe feel... uncomfortable? Unacknowledged? Not accepted for who you are? Maybe feel like an outcast? Like no one understands you?
Doesn't feel so good, does it?2/15/2019
