He clearead his throat. His face has never been this neutral. My heart was beating so madly that it almost hurt.

"What should we do to prove "fate" wrong?", he looked up at me, as his lips curled up into an amazing smile making his dimples to pop.

I let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Well, all you have to do is promise me that you will wait for me until I come back, I don't want you to be in trouble because of me.", I felt something stuck in my throat as the words came out of my mouth.

And still, the hardest thing in life is saying goodbye to what you grew used to.

I will eventually come back, but I will obviously be gone for a long time.

"Come back?", Ashton stared at me.

"The one who has the same stone as me is coming tomorrow and I'm planning to run away at 3.a.m.", I answered trying to look as casual as possible.

It took everything in me to stop the tears that were threatening to spill down my cheeks.

The silence filled the room and I felt my lower lip trembling.  I focused then on my breathing so I could forget the pain weighting on my heart.

I just need him to say it. I just need that one promise that will make it a little easy to go away.

"Please, promise me that you will be waiting for me."

I might look pathetic right now, but I don't really care.

"No.", he surprised me by sayibg and then eclipsed from the balcony door.

My lips slightly parted from one another, and the tears were already running down my cheeks.

Did he just dumb me?

I took my phone, looking at the wallpaper. There was me and Ashton on the floor, laughing.

I remember this day, it was the year I moved out to this neighbourhood. I was so pissed that I had to let everything behind me to just restart from scratch. However, Ashton came to my house to welcome us, and since then, we were inseperable.

I dived into the ocean of my memories that I shared with him.

Memories.. The only thing that no one can take away from you.

Someone suddenly knocked on the door, taking me away from my meditation.

I looked swiftly into the mirror, rubbing the tears from my eyes and wiping my cheeks.

I opened my bedroom's door, but there was no one. I, however,  still heard the pounding. I headed to the balcony's door.

"Ashton?", I asked, surprised.

He gave me the luggage that he held in his hand.

"I don't want my brother coming into my room and seeing that I packed my things. He wont stop asking questions, and you know I can't lie to him. And that's why I'm here, so I hide it here.", He says so casually.

"But..but you said no, earlier!"I was stunned.

"I said no to promissing you that I will wait for you. Why waiting when I can come with you?", he answered smiling.

I felt a wave of relief crushing on me.

"You are going to be in big trouble."

"What is life without a little risk?", he winked at me. "Plus my seventeeth birthday is in two months, and I will have to go see "my soulmate".."

I nodded and he smiled.

He then turned around, walking to the balcony's door.

"See you at 3 a.m.", he waved without looking back and closed the door behind him.

I found myself grinning like an idiot and then brought my hand to my lips.

10months that we are together, yet, he never stops to surprise me.

It's strange how simple words can make the most precious part of a human beeing wreck. Yet, its even stranger how simple words from that special one can make you forget about it all.

Then someone opened my bedroom's door abruptly.

"Take it easy.", I shouted from my bed.

"Can I know where Miss is going?"

And then Jackson appeared.

I galped, knowing that I have lost all of my colours.
