The next day, I found my way to my locker by myself, without getting lost; an accomplishment. I saw Dylan and his gang on the stairs again, but this time he waved me over. I did as instructed. As a wandered over I saw that Xavier, Dylan and the guy with the long, black hair, I noticed that they had another person with them. Another boy, about 17; his short, smooth, light brown hair flicked to one side; his blue/green eyes sparkled like stars when he laughed at something Xavier had said and his gorgeous smile was like only something angels could have. Why were all the boys at this school so gorgeous? Dylan stood up. He had his hair sticking up all over, as usual, and he still wore his black, leather jacket, but today I noticed he wore a tiny amount of eyeliner -which I found really appealing- and wore a black and grey striped shirt with black skinny jeans. He looked at me, grinning with his pearly white teeth.
"Hey!" He said.
"Hi..." I smiled, slightly, at him.
"Guys, this is Jayme. She's in my homeroom." He turned to his friends.
"Hey..." This guy with long black hair stood, "I'm Ronnie."
"Hi..." He was really cute, with his small amount of eyeliner, black cotton t-shirt and black jeans. Very attractive. I blushed a bit, as he looked at me. I didn't have a crush on any of these boys, and I doubt any of them would like me back, but it was nice to have some good-looking people around. "I'm Jayme."
"I'm Josh." The boy with the angelic smile said, beaming at me as he did so. My cheeks went redder, so I looked at the floor, avoiding eye contact with them.
"Oh my God! Guys, you'll never believe what Aaron's just text saying!" Xavier spoke up, staring at his phone. A mixture of shock and anger in his face and voice; I looked at him, confused.
"What?" Dylan sat next to him, peeking at the message, "What the fuck, man?! That's not cool, at all!"
"What's happened?" Ronnie placed himself opposite the others.
"Aaron just text to say he can't be in the band anymore! What the actual fuck?!" Dylan got more and more angry. Huh. They're in a band. Cool. I've always wanted to be in a band, but I doubt they'd let me in. I only sing, play bass and play piano. I bet they've already got a singer and bass player, though. I thought to myself.
"And the guy didn't even have the decency to say it to our faces!" Xavier put his head in his hands, growling to himself. "What an absolute dick!"
"What did he say? Did he at least give a reason?" Josh grabbed the phone and read the text.
"He just said he didn't want to be in a band that wasn't going anywhere."
"Looks like we need a new singer guys." Ronnie glanced at all the boys.
"Yup..." Dylan sighed, clearly furious.
I was very tempted to tell them about my singing and my ability to play both piano and bass, but my problem was that I'd always had terrible stage fright. Whenever I would go on stage, I would freeze up -at the beginning- forget the words and have to ask everyone what the words were, but once I got started, I loved it. The stage was a 2nd home to me. Even though I was awkward and shy off stage, when I was on stage, I changed into this loud and eccentric person. A complete personality change. Of course, I could never tell the boys that; they would insist that I sung to them and I couldn't do that in front of them. I would freeze up, like I always did. I sat next to Xavier and he put his arm around my shoulder.
"You guys are in a band?" I asked, knowing the answer.
"Yeah..." Xavier answered.
"What do you play?"
