I woke up on time today...thank God, so I took my time getting ready as I chose a bold look for the day. I decided on a black and white striped jumpsuit that had a low neckline showing off a little bit of everything, but not enough to get me dress coded. I wore some black heels with it because I would look taller and more intimidating, even though my feet would be crying for help by noon.

As I walked into first period and read the board I noticed that we had homework...and it was due today. I glanced around the room and my eyes finally landed on Mrs. Mills. She was standing outside her door watching the students walk into her class. She was wearing a black suit that hugged her curves perfectly with a red necklace that drew attention to her chest. I approached her and tried to remain calm, even though in my head the first thing I wanted to do was kiss her. "Mrs. Mills?"

She looked up at me and for a second it almost looked like she didn't see me there, she was so spaced out. "Oh. Hello Ava, what is it?"

"We had homework other day...and I was super busy so I didn't have time to finish it. I was wondering if I could get an extension on it?" I asked raising my voice as I finished my sentence. I tried to stand tall so she wouldn't sense how nervous I was, and I think it might've worked.

"No." She said her chocolate eyes boring into mine, it looked like she was searching them for something as she went on, "It's due today so you will turn it in today. However, you can come in for lunch if you'd like. As long as you don't disrupt my free period it's fine."

"Thanks" I said as I turned to walk away, but I remembered something else I needed to ask her. "Wait." I said, "I have a project for my psychology class, I'm supposed to pick an anonymous person and writing about them...I was wondering if you would do it?"

"What about your one of your parents or siblings?" She asked, obviously not interested in doing it.

"Well my mom works all the time and I don't have any siblings...I can get someone else if you can't do it-"

"No, I'll do it" she looked into my eyes once again, this time something had changed. "Meet me in here for lunch today, we'll work on your paper and if you want, you can start your project."

Why on earth did I ask her to be my subject for psychology? That was not the plan. I spent the rest of the period writing down the notes on the board and checking her out in my off time. Damn, there was something so...sexy about a woman in a suit. I seriously have issues.

All day I was wondering what would happen at lunch...would she actually let me ask her the questions or would I get shut down? Lunch time finally rolled around and I tried to calm myself as I walked to her room. As I got closer I noticed her door was closed and started to worry. What if she'd forgotten? What if she changed her mind? I was curious so I decided to peek in her window to see if she was even there, she was.

In her room, she was sitting behind her desk rubbing her temple with her glasses on. I looked closer and she was talking to a man, he looked frustrated and walked over to her to try to comfort her, and touched her shoulder. She flinched and as she looked up, we made eye contact. My heart fell to my toes. She quickly got up, and calmly led the man out the door.

When he was gone, she invited me into her room and I sat down nervously hoping she wouldn't bring up what had just happened. Naturally, she decides to start the conversation with "You were spying" and raises an eyebrow at me.

"No...I came by to finish my homework and your door was closed. I looked in your window to see if you were even in here, and you were."

"Well then, you should probably get started on your homework." She looked tense and glared at me seriously.

"About that...I kinda don't understand it. Math is my worst subject and I'm kind of a slow learner..." she looked up at me and rolled her eyes as she sat in the desk next to me and rested her hand on my desk. She began going through the steps to solve the problems and as she did, her elbow bumped my arm. A tingling sensation went through me and I couldn't help but jump a little at the contact.

She looked up at me and gave me a concerned look. "Is something wrong?", she asked not realizing the effect she had on me.

"It's nothing" I said, "just a little chilly in here...that's all." My heart was racing and I wondered if she knew it was because of her.

We were on the last question when she suddenly grabbed my pencil to better explain it to me and I noticed she was wearing a ring for the first time. I felt a sharp pain of jealousy and winced at the thought of her being with someone else. Man, I was falling hard, and I couldn't help but think about how much this was gonna hurt when reality finally set in.

The bell rang just as I finished my final equation and I realized I never got a chance to ask her my questions. As if she had read my mind, she said, "Come in tomorrow after school and you can ask me whatever you need to." I looked up at her one last time and asked, "What about lunch?"

"I have duty tomorrow...same place as Monday", she sounded annoyed as usual. While walking out of her room, I turned, gave her a huge smile and said "Thank you." She returned the smile making my heart skip a beat and my breath quicken, I sprinted off to history knowing I would be late...but I didn't care.
