Aria's POV
We are awoken by my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I ask, sleepily.
"Miss Jones?" Asks a unfamiliar voice.
"This is she."
"I'm so sorry to tell you your mother has been in a really bad car crash. You need to get the hospital as soon as possible."
My eyes begin to water and I began to tremble.
"O-okay." I stutter.
I get up and begin weeping. I need to get dressed.
"Baby, what's wrong?" Asks a concerned Grayson.
"No time to explain, go ask Ethan and Brook if they can watch Ollie. It's an emergency."
He did it without question.
He returns and puts on decent clothes. We head outside.
"Do you want me to drive?" He asks.
"No, I'll drive."
Grayson's POV
I don't ask questions. I can tell Aria is genuinely upset. I don't want to make it any worse. I know she has really bad anxiety. I've seen the scars.
We arrive and run in. She goes up to the front desk.
"I'm here for Julie Jones." She blurts out, out of breath.
"Are you her daughter?" The woman asks.
"Yes." Aria answers.
"Room 214."
Is all she said, and Aria grabs my hand and we're heading down the hall.
We finally find it and go in. She didn't look good at all.
Aria's POV
This is so bad.
She's unconscious, her head is bandaged up and she has a bunch of casts on various body parts.
"Mama." I weep.
I run to her side and hold her hand.
"Mama, please wake up." I whimper.
Grayson's POV
I just stand there I'm not sure what to do. There's nothing I can do.
Then the worst thing imaginable happens. Her heart rate starts slowing down.
"No mama, please." Aria cries.
I find a nurse right away. She gets a doctor and we're told to leave the room.
Aria doesn't want to.
"Baby, come on." I plead.
I drag her out of the room. She hugs me and I comfort her.
"It's okay." I coo.
"Grayson it's not okay. She could be dead and there's nothing we can do." She says, through tears.
"Aria, calm down. Don't say something you don't mean just because you're upset."
I'm trying to be as calm as I can. I don't want to say something stupid and fuck up our relationship.
"Baby, no matter what I'm here. You can talk to me."
"Thank you Grayson. I love you." She says and hugs me.
"I love you too, princess." I pull her closer, look in her eyes, and kiss her.
"Thank you, I needed that." She smiled softly.
Then, the nurse comes back, after about an hour, and says, "She's fine, if you want to come see her."
Aria's POV
We go back to her room and she's awake.
"Hey mama."
"Hey baby." She says, weakly.
It breaks my heart. But, at least she's awake.
"Hey Grayson."
"Hey Miss Julie." He calls.
"Where's Monk?" She asks.
"She's with Brooklyn, don't worry. You need to get some rest. We'll be back tomorrow."
"Bye, Dear. I love y'all."
"We love you too." I tell her as we leave.
Grayson's POV
We are on our way home and I drive. Aria looks so emotionally unstable. It's heart breaking. I place my hand on her thigh.
She looks up at me with a small smile.
"Gray, can I play some music?" She asks.
"Of course, princess." I respond.
We listen to a few songs, then arrive home.
As soon as we walk into the house Ethan and Brooklyn greet us.
"Hey guys." I say quietly.
"Hey, what happened?" Asks Brooklyn.
"Mom is in the hospital." Responds Aria, upset.
"Oh my god, that's horrible." Gasps Brooklyn.
"It is, I'm so sorry Aria." Says Ethan, genuinely upset.
"Everything's fine for right now. Anyway, how's Monk?" She asks, I can tell she wants to talk about something else.
I know my girl.
"She's asleep." Replies Brooklyn.
"Okay, well I'm gonna go lay down." She says, and walks off.
I follow her.
We get my room and Ollie is asleep in her playpen.
"Baby, do you want to talk about it?" I ask.
She shakes her head no.
"Aria, you can't keep it bottled up. I'm here. I'm not gonna leave. I promise I'll be here through it all."
That was so cheesy. But it needed to be said.
"It's just, I don't want to loose her. She's always been there. I don't want to loose my best friend." She weeps.
I hug her and pull her close to me.
"Listen, we're not going to loose her. She's a strong woman. She loves you and Olivia too much to leave."
Aria's POV
"Thank you Grayson, you are so good to me."
I don't deserve him. He is so good to me and my daughter. I couldn't ask for more.
"Anything for my princess." He smiles. I smile back.
"I'm tired, let's go to bed." I yawn.
I've been really tired lately. It's weird. I'm never tired.
"Okay, Baby. Goodnight. I love you." He kisses me.
"I love you too."
And we went to bed.
