Lucas' pov|
Following everyone else in a straight line, we'll somewhat. Claus was walking next to me and kept "accidentally" brushing his arm against mine. I couldn't help but look over at him to ask why he was doing so. Right when o was going to open my mouth he pushed me, this only confused me more. "Pay attention...you almost walked into the door..." I sheepishly smiled back at him thanking him. Well I mean, maybe he just wanted me to pay attention? I only pushed the thought away as we got on the bus. Yeah we were going on a field trip to "n a t u r e". To me it didn't really seem like a field trip but rather a break for the teachers. Testing had been happening all of last week forcing to stay in the same class all day. It only made sense that they get a break.
I looked at the scenery we had been passing by while in the bus. Some of it being a complete blur yet some being viewable. I looked over at Claus noticing that he had been staring in a specific direction, maybe even glaring? I simply decided to follow his look and spotted Ness. I just shrugged it off thinking they had an argument of some sort. Maybe they argued over a cookie or something, I mean, they are rivals after all.

"Alright class, choose your partners!" The teacher said. I looked over at Claus as he looked over at me. He was about to open his mouth to speak but got cut off. "Hey Lucas! Lets be partners." Ness happily chirped. "U-uhm ok..." I simply looked over at Claus and noticed how he was glaring at Ness. At the same time he was holding onto Ninten. Well alright I guess. As we were walking around exploring since the teachers let us do so alone, I glanced over at Ness. He was calmly smiling while looking around.
  "Follow me." Ness had all of a sudden spoken surprising me at the moment. I nodded walking behind him. He decided that the best way to help me follow him was to hold my hand. I could once more feel the heat rush to my face. I slightly covered my face with my other hand. When we had finally reached the spot Ness wanted to take me to, he stopped. "I-I want to tell you something." I looked over at his eyes confused. What could it possibly be that he wanted to tell. Was it important? "Lucas, I-I uhmm how do I say it? I l-like you?" I panicked. I didn't know how to respond to that. The problem was, I didn't really know about my feelings towards him. "I-I... I like you too?" There was awkward silence after that. "Lucas!" I heard Claus screech. I looked around spotting Claus followed by Ninten. 'Oh no' I quickly backed up accidentally bumping into Ness. "This is why I shouldn't leave you for a second!" Claus exclaimed. "Is this really it! Is this why you wanted me to stay with you?! Is it because of Ness?!" I could feel the tension between us rise. He only looked away in shame, he knew I caught on. "Just leave them alone..." Ninten mumbled as he pulled on Claus' arm. I simply let out a sigh of relief when they walked away. I looked over at Ness curios as to how he was. Surprisingly, he was alright.  "So uhmmm, you like me back?" I simply nodded my head smiling back at him. He smiled back at me with some blush dusting his cheeks.
