the clanking of the door bells hung just above the brown wooden door chimed when a girl with a raven slightly wavy hair pushed it to enter the coffee shop. greeting the man about on her late 40's behind the counter with a smile, the girl walked up to order something.

"good morning, mr. park." the girl says, her voice laced with gentleness and respect. her long black hair swaying every step she takes to get infront of the counter.

"good morning to you too, seo yeon." the old man greeted back, returning the smile.

"do you want the usual?" park asks, taking out a white mug from the table behind him. the old man sheepishly smiled when the lass seemed to be surprised, "i knew that you would come so i prepared it beforehand."

the girl gladly accepted the drink along with a plate of chocolate cake that was pushed by the same man, muttering a 'thank you' before finding herself an empty table.

when she found one which was easy because only a few people were present in the shop, she sat down and blew her cup of coffee. she sipped a little content, trying if it's still too hot for her to handle.

"it's bearable." the girl smiled before continuing to sip on her drink, her eyes wandering around the shop.

of course, she's a courier. it's only natural to observe her surroundings and check if there's something unusual. only to find nothing, all normal. she was familiar with almost everyone in the room, except for a dog which she was guessing a new pet of the little girl accross her table.

however, the familiar chiming of the bells can be heard again which unintentionally caught her attention. turning her head to the direction of the door, she saw a pair of unfamiliar men. it was okay at first, but was weirded her is that they immediately sat on the empty table close to the door, not bothering to greet the man behind the counter nor order something.

when another set of men entered the shop, which was seven, seo yeon can't help but to observe them. although she tried her best to not be obvious, a man from the group noticed her staring.

quickly diverting her attention to the dog which was beside them, the man tore his gaze away from her and quietly conversed with the others. seo yeon quietly counted them inside her mind by glancing in her peripheral vision.

one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, ni--

"jeongin." a man with a platinum blonde hair from the group called, another head turned to him. nine. seo yeon finished, sipping from her cup to not be that obvious.

all of them stood up and started to leave, seo yeon accidentally glancing at them. a man turned to her direction yet continued on walking outside. the man's height was average, his body built was big. his black hair was neatly fixed, bangs covering his forehead. they held each other's gaze until the man finally went out of the shop.

"who are they?" seo yeon asked herself, reverting her attention to the table they previously sat on. the girl noticed a small paper neatly folded on the table. standing up to her seat, she walked to the table and picked up the paper, unfolding it.

district 9.

was everything that is written on the paper. seo yeon's brows slightly furrowed in confusion as she flipped the paper, checking if there was something more than a word and a number.

"seo yeon?" the girl lifted her gaze to the caller. "is something wrong?" park asks, the lass only shook her head with a smile.
