Chapter 2 - All i could hear was mumbling

Aliah's POV

" Hey, are you okay?", I asked Ari.

She was looking down at her phone, " Uh, yeah im good."

I was confused. Ariana is always energetic and happy but, today she seemed sad, " Look at me," I said and she looked up and looked into my soul, it seemed. " Tell me what's wrong?"

Ari took a deep shakily breath, " Your brother is an idiot. I've liked him for so long and he is too stupid enough to even notice that i have feelings for him."

I sighed, " I know.. do you want me to talk to him?"

" No! No please don't.. not after what happened with Isaiah..", she nervously said. I said okay.

Arianas POV
Freshman year

Today is Valentines Day. I have a special present for Isaiah but it's anonymous! ahahaha he will never know.

" Stop talking to yourself weirdo!!", my best friend Aliah yells at me.

" Shit.. good thing we're alone. Are you giving anyone anything??", I excitingly asked.

" No, I don't really like anyone here. Except you, of course, but nah. Everyone here either has a bf/gf or is single and doesn't want to have anyhing to do with anybody. Is that for Isaiah?", she asked while looking down at the pink Valentines Day bag.

" Um, yeah it is.", i said smiling.

" You want me to give it to him?? So, he doesn't know its from you.", she asked.

" Oh!! yes please do!", i said.

That was a huge mistake. I wish I had never said yes to her. After that day I couldn't eat or sleep or even get out of bed.

I gave Aliah the pink bag and waited..

oh god, what if he doesn't accept it?

what if he doesn't even look at it and throws it away??

I'm nervous..

I sat down on one of the benches in the library where we were at. I started tapping my leg. Feeling so anxious. I was thinking so many things that could possibly happen between those two. Maybe it's nothing..

A few minutes later, Aliah came back walking slowly. Her cheeks red as a tomato and she looked very serious. My heart started to beat real hard. She started saying something to me with worried eyes but all I could hear was mumbling. Feeling warm tears fall down my cheeks. I just stood there, blankly, deciding whether I should believe her or just run away crying. She put her arms around me, hugging me and telling me how sorry she was.

I quickly stepped away, breaking our hug and she looked surprised. I then started walking away.

" Ari..", she said gently.

I stopped and look back at her, "I..
need some time alone right now."

She just stayed quiet as I walked away. I felt my heart breaking.

I never thought something like this could happen.

How could she do this to me? I'm her best friend..

Y'all wtf.. Im nervous myself at what actually happened between Isaiah and Aliah.

What do you guys think?? Is it good or nah?

Also, sorry for how short the chapters are. I swear i'll try to make em longer.
