~cat's pov~

The day of my party had finally arrived, and I was actually buzzing with excitement. Today was going to be a good day, I could feel it.

The morning ran smoothly and quickly, I had to set up and decorate, basically do everything but it was fun cuz my friends came over to help.

~jacks pov~

So cat's birthday had finally arrived and I was really nervous. My phone buzzed, I speed-walked over to it and looked at the message, it was Zach, it read:

Hey jack I'm just texting to tell you to meet me out the back of cat's house when you get to her party, cya

Okay...but why?

Just do it.

What was I going to wear, the party is a casual kinda thing so I dressed in cool casual, with my thrasher hoodie, some black jeans, long white socks and my adidas sneakers.

I still had two hours till the party so I decided to get some ice cream. I ate my delicious ice cream and walked out the front door to find a box on the front step.

I picked up the box and looked at the tag. It read:

You'll need this when you meet me out the back of cat's.

Ok...not at all suspicious. I lifted the box and put it under my arm, I started walking to cat's, it was actually pleasant walking to cat's. The cool breeze blowing through my hair, the harmonious pace of my feet.

I finally arrived at cat's house and knocked on the door. Her mum came to the door and let me in, "hi, your early, come on in. cat's out the back if you want to say hello."

I walked through her house and out to the back yard to find cat and Zach chatting up a storm whilst sitting around a fire pit. It was starting to get dark and cat looked beautiful with the early moon rays shinning on her.

I snapped out of my daze and walked over to the two of them. I sat on a camping chair next to cat's, she looked at me then to the box in my hands then back to me and looked at me confused, I looked at the box then said, "don't ask me, I have no idea what's in the box, I swear."

Zach then excused us from the conversation and motioned for me to come with him. " what are you doing?" I asked

"I'm helping you." Zach replied blandly

Once we were out of sight and ear shot from cat, Zach took the box and opened it. A beautiful merryweather flower lay inside. My jaw dropped as I came to realise Zach was setting me up with cat in his own unique way.

I walked nervously back to cat, I was holding
the flower behind my back and once I had come within one foot of her she stood and we looked each other in the eyes and I gave her the flower and asked, "will you cat merryweather forgive me for what I have done to you and be my girlfriend.

~zachs pov~

My heart was warmed at the sight of jack asking cat out and even from where I was standing I could see cat's eyes light up, jack did too, I guess she said yes then.

~cat's pov~

Jack asked me out and I said yes and he smiled from ear to ear and handed me the merryweather my favourite flower.
