Chapter 2 Winter Ivan Devon

I cannot believe that the future ruler of our country is going to be that stupid princess. Sigh. Is the royal family not worried about how she will rule our country in the future? I pity the future generation that will be unfortunate enough to be ruled by her; Thea Charlotte y Vasilik.

*ring ring*

"Hello? Yes this is Ivan speaking."

"Master Winter Ivan Devon, his majesty the king would like to summon you for a meeting at the castle today at 3:00 in the afternoon." The king wants to talk to me? I wonder what it is about. Well then I better get ready for later. I don' t want the king to wait.

As soon as I got ready, I made my way towards the castle. You might wonder what's my relation with the royal family, and the answer is simply nothing except that our family used to be the one ruling the country and that the king and queen are good friends with my parents. Even with the history of our family ruling th country before, we don't have any intention of getting the crown from them even though the current crown princess right now doesn't have any qualities of a good ruler. Surely they would have a plan on how to control that handful princess.

I am now in front of the castle gates and I quickly checked my clothes if they are neat and proper just to be sure; I am meeting the King after all. The guards opened the gates for me without a word and I was escorted to the King's quarters.

"Your majesty" I greeted the King and bowed in respect as well.

"Ivan! There's no need to be so formal with me young lad. Come on take a sit and would you like some tea as well?" I just smiled in return since I'm not comfortable on being informal with the King eventhough our relationship is a quite close with each other since he is my godfather, he is still the ruler of our country and he deserves to be treated with respect. "Ah now I won't beat around the bush Ivan. I need your help and I hope you'll help me."

"It will be my pleasure to be of help your majesty. What ever it is you can count on me." I immediately told the King.
