Nothing beats walking out of a stuffy lecture room into the cool afternoon air, breathing in the crisp air I think it'd be the perfect weather for a midnight surf, having already checked the swell for tonight and seeing as it'd be a full moon I knew there couldn't be better conditions, maybe I should invite Bell.
"Speak of the devil" I mumble as the shy redhead strolls up to me.
"Huh? never mind, flip I'm glad to be out of that room, honestly didn't realise anyone could talk so much about the lymphatic system" she exclaims as she falls into step with me, the top of her curly head reaching just below my shoulders.
"Haha no I agree, sometimes Prof Blyth gets a bit excited about anatomy" I return as we make our way towards our cars.
"A bit?!? Lex she went 40 minutes over! You can't tell me you were enjoying that and not itching to get outside" she smirked knowingly at me.
She was right, she was nearly always right when it came to me, I guess that comes from knowing one another since we were in diapers.
She knows that I hate being cramped up inside and that I'll be outside whatever chance I get, as much as I know she'd be just as happy to be sat inside in her favourite armchair with a good book or cuddled up on the couch with her boyfriend.
They were a perfect match in that sense, both happy to spend a night in with just one another's company and while you wouldn't pick them together if they were the last people on earth, mostly due to Bell's introverted personality and Cam's extremely extroverted nature, I couldn't pick a nicer guy for her.
"Yeah, yeah maybe your right" I smirked back at her "speaking of, wanna come for a surf with me tonight?, the full moon will be great visibility for it"
"Full moon?" she looked back at me sceptically, "that's when all the weirdos come out"
"Well yeah we'll be out there won't we" I say winking at her. "Seriously though I'm certain we'll be fine"
She finally agrees as we go to unlock our cars, "great" I say "I'll meet you at the usual spot say around 7pm?"
Smiling at me she says "haha ok see you then weirdo"
As I put my car into drive and make my way out of the Uni campus I begin humming along to the lines of my favourite Rainbow Kitten Surprise song that's blasting through my speakers.
