It's been two days since my nightmare, and my other dreams haven't been exactly pleasant either.
The weather has gotten cooler and winter is on it's way.
I haven't seen Daniel in a while and I really need a friend right now. I'm not super good at the whole "friend" thing. I try though. I decide to go to the park again, hopefully he's there because I forgot to get his phone number.
I put on some dark jeans and a purple sweater. The sleeves are too long but I like to hide my hands in them so it works out. I look out the window and see dark clouds, I grab my black and blue polkadotted umbrella and head outside.
Just as I stepped off my porch it stated to sprinkle.
"Really." I said at the sky. A old couple was walking by and gave me a weird look. I just smiled out of embarrassment and opened my umbrella. I walked away faster than usual.
I was at the park in a matter of minutes and it was poring rain. I want over to our spot and I saw auburn hair and a tall man. It was Daniel standing in the poring rain soaking wet with his hands in the pockets of the long brown trench coat he always wears.
"Hi." I say walking toward him. He shakes his head ever so slightly as he was probably zoned out. His eyes glance over at me and he gave me a full toothed smile. Showing off his perfectly even teeth.
"Hello Mae." He says still smiling fully."Fancy seeing you here."
"Yeah it is," I wasn't going to tell him I was looking for him, That would be weird seeing as how I barely know him."What are you doing in the poring rain without an umbrella?"
"Well it kinda caught me off guard." He says looking back to the water. It was quite a sight, all the raindrops hitting the water in no specific rhythm."I take it you were expecting it though." He said glancing over for a second and giving a little grin."seeing as how you brought an umbrella."
"Yeah, I was just gonna take a walk, so I uh, I just grabbed one cuz I saw the dark clouds."I said unconvincingly.
"I see." He said with a hint of a laugh.
"Well, what is it you wanted to talk to me about?" He asks turning his whole body toward me.
"I told you, I just decided to take a walk..."He gives me an adorable look, an 'I don't believe you for one second' look.
"I'm serious." I say plainly. We hold each others gazes for a few moments, then he smiles his full teeth smile and turns his head to the side. I start to laugh and then he does. He lifts his right hand from his pocket and taps the bench lightly with his hand.
"It's soaked!"
"Well, I'm already wet so I guess it won't bother me." He says sitting down.
"Yeah I guess not."
"So," he says placing his hand back in his pocket."What did you need to tell me?"
"Well-" I cut myself off knowing it was no use. He was good, really good.
"Nothing in particular." I say not caring anymore and sitting on the bench.

Shattered Glass
Short StoryI stared at myself through shattered pieces of a mirror that was once whole...much like my heart. I don't know how long I stood there, just looking at my disoriented reflection. There were glass shards all around, and I didn't care to clean them up...
