Chapter 1

darkness, this is what we call scary, this is what we are afraid of. Darkness is isolation. 

Light, this is what we call happiness, this is what we love. Happiness is love.

Alpha, this is what packs bow down to, This is what we call king. Alpha is strong.

Luna, this is what packs crave for, this is what we call queen. Luna is strength.

An alpha is the ruler, but we wouldn't be a pack without the Luna, and when Alpha Angelo found his Luna, the pack of The Palms were celebrating, Angelo had lost all hope of finding his mate until one day the Luna crossed our borders when she was running from death, Alpha smelt her out and saved her, Ever since then they have been inseparable, Until the Luna gave birth to Coral, the first of the Moon children. Since Coral they couldn't risk getting hurt or losing each other and they tied the knot, A few years later Noah came along. After Noah The pack made a larger pack house as the Alpha knew we would need the protection. He could not risk the lives of his family. 

The alpha had 2 more children Ethan and Rosavelt, The alpha and Luna fought after Rosavelt was born, as Alpha Angelo had claimed The Luna cheated, all because Rosavelt didn't look like one of his, She was different, You'll find out soon enough. Luna took a break and left the Alpha, she took Rosavelt and went traveling. Rose spent her life with no father. A few years passed and she was 7, she gave up not having a father and due to this she ran. as fast and far as she could.

Running away costed her life. She ran for her life that day, she didn't stop running because if she stopped she could have died. Dont Look Back. she played in her head a million and one times that day, She was determined to find her family, and found them she did. Being the youngest of 4 was harsh she didnt have anyone to tell her why her parents split until she runs into the wrong terretory, or so she thought.She stumbles and picks herself up again to find 3 faces staring at her. All similar in structure, and scent, all had similarities and some similarities tied to her. She recognized their scent as they did hers.

Her family...

"Rosavelt..." One of them said. Rose felt weird, she was tired, she was hungry, she was afraid, she looked at the three wolves and then she fell, she collapsed and the wolves couldn't seem to wake her up.

"Father i swear this is Rosavelt, Mother cannot be far behind, If Rosavelt made it here on her own then mother surely would worry" The little wolf said. Her father knew she was right. "Coral, sweetheart, Rosavelt isnt mine, if this is Rosavelt as you claim, then yeah your mother will be worried sick, Keep an eye on her and ill contact the Luna and see if she knows i have her daughter" He walked out. Coral knew her sisters scent, she Knew this was her baby sister. 

"Coral" Someone yelled from outside the doors as they walked in. "Its Rosavelt Ethan, I know my sister. Im not wrong" Coral cried. Her brothers went over and hugged her. "Coral we cannot be so sure of this, please... if this isnt Rosavelt, dont be hurt please" Coral nodded. 

"hmmm" came a groan from the bed, Coral jumped up in shock... "rosavelt?" the girl on the bed looked at coral, examined her long blonde hair, her face features and her violet eyes. She examined the girl infront of her... "my name?" the girl muttered. Coral smiled and hugged the girl. Ethan looked in shock and started to tear up, Noah ran out and shouted his father. a few moments past while the girl woke up. and Noah came back in with his father, who looked at the girl with a woman next to him "Rose" the woman said, "Mother" rosavelt had said tiredly, "m...mother?" Coral said looking up, the girl smiled and hugged her children. The family were finally back together. Finally a family again. "shes mine" Angelo said to the Luna "Youre mine too" he whispered, the Luna and Alpha kissed. "Coral? Ethan? Noah? Father?" Rosavelt cried and they all hugged each other, Rosavelt finally smiled a real smile, she was happy and she was home. 

"I have my family back" Coral said while they all sat around the dinner table, until suddenly she felt a pull, she smelt lavender and vanilla, She stood up and walked away. Rosavelt followed her sneakily, Coral saw a boy, he stood there at the door of her house. "mate?" coral whispered and they kissed. Rosavelt looked away disgusted and went back to the table.

Coral stood up and left, so she sneakily followed her she didnt want her sister to leave her not after she just found her again. Coral was stood at the door with a boy in silence when all of a sudden she hears "mate?" and then the two kissed. Rose looked away disgusted and went back to the table smiling, she was happy her sister had found happiness finally. "Where has Coral gone rose?" The alpha asked and rose just giggled, "not my news to tell father" Rose said all smug, knowing something the others didn't. A few seconds had passed when Coral walks back in with the boy behind, Angelo stood up "And who have you invited into our home Coral?" he questioned, he seemed angry, almost scary. "f...father, m...mother... this..s...s... this is, Branden" she stutters afraid of her father. "h...hello sir, I am Your daughters m...ma...mate" he stutters afraid. Rose looked down and saw that they are holding hands. Rose looked to her mother and shes smiling.

Alpha looked shocked, Almost breathless. He was not expecting that.

"Father Branden here is my mate... May he stay with us?" Coral asked her father, before he could answer the Luna stood up "Hello branden, Yes ofcourse you can stay, welcome to the family, Just dont hurt my daughter" he nodded, and The two walked upstairs, the Alpha just looked at his wife and she smiled then went upstairs.

A few weeks had passed when the Luna announced she was pregnant once again. She was due in 2 months. The pack were excited to have a luna back and a new prince/princess on their way. The pack had fallen apart when the Luna left as the Alpha become ruthless, scary, deadly, He made everyone fight in wars. Buildings didnt get taken cared for as nobody was there to fix them up, Children were taught to fight at a young age, due to the wars the Alpha had caused for his pack, Now that the Luna is back everyone is hoping he goes back to normal, But theyre wrong. He just became even more protective over their children. Even if Rose looked different and smelt different she was still his blood, still his daughter, still his family. 

He knew at that moment he would die for them, Little did he know, he could lose his family within a few years.
