When the Malfoys switched their sides at the very end of the battle of Hogwarts, they were prevented from ending up in Azkaban.
Draco's family left their typical blood prejudices and wanted to live a happy life. Draco even was called for the Auror training along with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Blaise, Ginny, and Pansy.
Narcissa and Lucius decided to call Harry, Ron, and Hermione for the dinner so that they could apologize to them for all the terrible deeds they did to them. Draco was already forgiven by Hermione during their last year at Hogwarts. Both Hermione and Draco signed again for the completion of their last year along with Ginny and Blaise but Pansy, Harry, and Ron didn't want to continue Hogwarts. Draco and Hermione were great friends and they cared for each other but at the same time they kept on arguing everything and then sort everything back in a few moments.
