Chapter 12

One Year Later

Everything was running fine. Ron, Harry, Hermione, Draco, and Blaise were working hard to be an Auror, Pansy was doing well in her fashion designing, and Ginny's team was hardly losing any matches. Whenever all of them were free on weekends, they used to go to the same cafe every time, "CAFE 26". Pansy was not able to join them every time since she was in America. In this cafe; a waitress, named Pietra, was having a terrible crush on Draco, much to Hermione's dismay. Also, she supported Chudley Cannons, so sometimes she tried to catch Ginny's attention, but Ginny, after all, was Hermione's best friend, so she tried her best to ignore her. Whenever they visited there, she shamelessly flirted with Draco which made him feel sick. But since Ron loved the tea here, so Hermione and Draco didn't want to suggest the idea of hanging out somewhere else. Pansy was receiving an award for designing the dresses for the participants of FEMINA MISS INDIA 2000 and she wanted Ron to be there. Ron was elated and left for India immediately.

Now all of them mutually decided that they will never go to that cafe. Draco was so much relieved but Hermione was happier than Draco. Harry, Ginny, Draco, and Hermione were just walking in the park when they heard a sickeningly sweet voice of Pietra who was yelling Draco's name and grinning madly. Draco tried to force a smile while Hermione huffed angrily and Harry sighed.

"Hello dear Draco, how are you? Why didn't you come to the cafe today? You know I was waiting for you?" Pietra asked him.

It was obvious that he wanted to run far away from her, she was so clingy.

"I-we just wanted to walk today, Yes"

"Oh leave it, here; I have something for you and Ginevra. I have a party on Tuesday at my house, please both of you, I'll be so glad if you will attend it" she said as she handed the invitation cards to Draco and Ginny. They both reluctantly took it. She left after kissing Draco's cheek leaving a dark lipstick mark. When she left Draco immediately wiped it off.

"Why do I feel like I am not invited?" Hermione said.

"Yes, because you aren't" Harry smirked.

"You are also not invited," Hermione said.

"Oh come on, who cares? I don't want to go there. Only sitting in that cafe is hell to me. Going there in a party will be the death of me" Harry said.

"I wish I was as lucky as you Harry, never mind, let's get back," Draco said.

To say Draco was absolutely frustrated would be an understatement. He made up his mind. He was not going to any bloody party.

TUESDAY: THE PARTY DAY

Draco

Are you planning to go to the party? If not, then come to Grimmauld's Place. We can play wizard's chess and quidditch with Ginny. I have chips, Hermione sent them. Don't show your face without butterbeer.

And die if you are going to the party. I can advise you if you need any help with suit selection. HAHA

PS: Bring your arse here as soon as possible.

Harry sent it to Draco using Ron's owl. When the letter reached Draco, he smirked and wrote the reply.

Harry

Are you mad? I am not going to any bloody party. Count me in. I am coming to your place. I'll bring butterbeers also.

Draco

PS: You are a complete arse

Draco sent this letter to Harry. He grabbed butterbeers and some more snacks and left for Harry's place. Both the boys were eating, drinking and talking. They also made fun of each other while playing chess. After some time, when they got bored, they decided to play quidditch.

"You were saying, we will play with Ginny, where is she?" Draco said.

"Wait let me call her"

Harry cast a Patronus and a few minutes later Ginny apparated. The three of them played quidditch for very long. When they got tired, they went home. Ginny fell asleep as soon as she reached home. She was so tired that she didn't she saw that there were three letters from Hermione.

THE NEXT DAY

Neither Ginny nor Draco attended Pietra's party. Next day Mrs Weasley sent cauldron cakes for Draco, Hermione and Harry. Ginny brought the caked for them. When the four of them were sitting in the canteen, Hermione asked Ginny

"Why didn't you reply to my letters yesterday?"

Harry, Ginny and Draco were shocked. Shit! They forgot to invite Hermione.

"I-I must have slept" Ginny replied.

"Yeah, I thought so. So I visited Weasley Mansion to look for you and you were not there!" now Hermione was slightly annoyed.

"I was not there?"

"Yes, you weren't Oh wait!!!! Were you at the party?? Pietra's party?"

"Have you gone mad? I told you I won't go"

"Then where were you?"

"I was with Draco!"

"WHAT? So that means you are now Draco's girlfriend?"

"WHAT? BLOODY HELL NO" Ginny, Draco and Harry answered in unison.

"Harry wanted to meet Draco and later they wanted to play quidditch but since Ron was absent, they called me instead" Ginny calmly explained to Hermione.

Then they all started laughing and Hermione was very happy that none of her friends went to that annoying bimbo's party.
