five

it's now Saturday and I had planned to go to the mall with Alexis, Ellie and Cassidy however I got a message from Daniel.

Daniel - "Hey Katie, what are you doing tonight?"
Katie - "Hi, I don't think i'm doing anything, why?"
Daniel - "I want to take you out somewhere"
Katie - "Ok sure, where do you want to go?"
Daniel - "It's a surprise but I'll pick you up at 9. Be ready baby"
I smiled at my phone before it hit me that Daniel wants to take me on a proper date. I quickly facetimed Alexis, practically begging her for help.

Alexis - "Hey, what's up?"
Katie - "Remember I told you about Daniel?"
Alexis - "Oh my god, yeah! What happened?"
Katie - "He asked me out!"
Alexis started screaming and jumping around her room.
Katie - "I have a problem though." she clearly couldn't hear me as she was still screaming.
Katie - "Alexis!!"
Alexis - "Sorry, I'm just really happy for you two"
Katie - "Ok first of all, we aren't even together yet. it's just a date. And secondly, I have nothing to wear at all so they way things are going, I won't be going on this date"
Alexis - "We are going to the mall though, what time is he meeting you at?"
Katie - "He said he would pick me up at nine but you know how long it takes for me to get ready"
Alexis - "True, lets just go now. We will meet Cassidy and Ellie there at four and we should have your outfit ready by then"
Katie - "Ok, thank you so much"
Alexis - "No need to thank me, I love doing stuff like this. I'll pick you up in ten minutes but you better be ready, this is gonna take awhile"

She ended the call quickly as she was away to walk out of her house and I turned around to see my Dad standing at my door.

"How long have you been standing there for?"
"Not long, have fun on your date" He said jokingly.
"Oh my god, its not a date!" I yelled in embarrassment
"So you're lying to your best friend?" my dad chuckled
"Well no- I- ok so what if it's a date! I'm almost be eighteen!" I yelled as my dad walked through to his room.
"Your boyfriend might need these then" he said as he threw a box of condoms at me.
"Oh my god Dad! We aren't even together, you know i'm not like that!" That was 100% one of the most embarrassing things to ever happen to me.
"I know, I'm only joking"

I heard Alexis pull up outside so I began to make my way downstairs.

"Oh, i'm working all night so I won't be here incase you want to come back and-"
"BYEEEE" I purposely yelled so I wouldn't have to hear the end of his sentence.

Daniel's POV

I texted my friend Jonah just to double check that he could still get the alcohol for tonight. I've only drank once and that was the last time is spoke. I guess it juts gave me a lot of confidence. Jonah is my only friend from my old school and he promised me that he would help out with this date. I want to make it perfect.

Not even ten minutes later, which is pretty quick for Jonah, he told me that he had it.

My sister Anna came into my room shortly after. She is also helping me with this.

"Did Jonah get it?" she asked eagerly.
I nodded my head.
"Ok, you go over to Jonah and pick it up. I'll go start setting everything up"
We both made our way downstairs and out to our cars. I couldn't take my mind off Katie and all the things that could go wrong tonight. I tried to push this thought to the back of my mind but it wasn't working. I hoped Jonah would be able to help.

Katie's POV

After 3 hours of searching, I finally found an outfit. It was simple, but by this point I didn't even care what I was going to wear. I went for a short black dress and a pair of black heels.

Shortly after I bought my outfit, Ellie and Cassidy arrived and ran straight up to me pulling me into a hug.

"I'm going to assume Alexis told you?" I said while laughing a little.
"Obviously!" Cassidy shrieked.
"We're so excited for you, Katie!" Ellie said pulling away from the hug
"Thank you" I said reaching to my back pocket for my phone.
I noticed that it was already 5:30 which meant I had less than 4 hours to get home and get ready.
"I better go, it takes almost an hour to get home and then I'll need to get ready which will take forever"
"Ok, good luck!" Cassidy said supportingly
"Text us to say how it's going, if you can" Alexis almost begged.
"I'll try"
"Don't do anything you will regret in the morning!" Ellie said while laughing a little to herself.
"I won't, I promise" I said while walking away.

I got home at 6:15 and my Dad had left for work. I walked through to the kitchen to get a glass of water and I saw a note from Corbyn and it obviously said that we was staying at Christina's so he wouldn't be back until tomorrow night.

I ran upstairs and began getting ready.

At 8:55, I was finally ready and actually impressed with how I looked. I had my hair tied up because I thought it looked cute but I quickly took it down. Knowing Daniel he would take it down at some point.

I saw Daniel pull up outside and I quickly put my shoes on and made my way downstairs when I heard the door bell ring.

"Hey!" I said before my jaw dropped. He was wearing a black suit and it looked stunning on him. He did the same thing to me.

We walked out to his car and he opened the car door for me.

"Thank you" I said before he quickly went round to his seat and started driving.

"Can you tell me where we are going now?" I pleaded
He shook his head.
"Pleaseeeee" I gave him puppy eyes.
He just smirked at me and kept driving.
"Someone's feeling confident tonight" I said teasingly.
He laughed, his voice sounding deeper than usual.

After 15 minutes of begging we finally arrived however it was dark so I could barely see where we were. Daniel tapped my shoulder and showed me a blindfold.
"Are you serious?" I said clearly not wanting to be blindfolded.
he nodded his head and jumped out the car and around to me. He opened the door and helped me out before putting the blindfold on me.
He took my hand and walked me down to this place. I obviously assumed we were on a beach because I could barely walk on the sand considering I was wearing heels.

"Can I take my shoes off at least? I can barely walk"
Next thing I knew, I was being lifted off the ground and I shrieked as he did so.

Him carrying me made me realise how strong he was and also how amazing he smelled. I was completely zoned out in these thoughts when I snapped out of it as Daniel put my down and he slowly started to remove my blindfold
