In front of me I saw a picnic blanket, a basket and some lit candles.

"It's beautiful, Daniel" I said before kissing his cheek, making it turn bright red and causing a smile to form on his lips. We sat down and I spoke to him for hours. I could tell the wine was giving him some confidence. He still didn't speak however he looked a lot more confident than usual

Daniel's POV

I've never seen Katie this happy before. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw everything and I felt my cheeks turn a little red. i wanted to say something to her but i couldn't. it's definitely up there with the most annoying feelings ever, all i want is to tell this girl i love her and i genuinely can't.

The next morning, i went back to Jonah's house. Only because he was eager to know how to date went. I slowly walked up his driveway and he must of saw me because he met me at the top.
"Hey! how was it?" he said excitedly, trying to get me to smile but i just shrugged my shoulders.
"Did Katie like it?" i nodded my head.
"Did you say anything?" i didn't answer at first and i thought about it for awhile.
"Daniel?" Jonah said quietly, getting me out of my thoughts. I felt a single tear roll down my face. To be honest, i don't really know exactly why i'm crying.
"Don't cry, Daniel. You'll tell her soon, i promise"
By now, i was a mess. I couldn't stop crying.
"Come inside, i can help"
