"Where have you two been!?" my mother yells, as we get back to the cave.

"The same place I always go after I kill someone." I retort, walking past the brown alpha and to my room. Have I mentioned that my mother would prefer I liked someone that wasn't hot? No? Well, she would.

"Lillith Iris Envy the Third! Get back here this instint!"

"I'd much rather sleep." I snap. Mom turns into a human and smacks me across the face. "Um, ouch?"

"Go to bed."

"Kay." I head to my room, with a throbbing cheek. It was hard not to pounce on her,. She would have won, anyway. I get into my room and lay down on my bed, thinking about how I killed four people today. I'm almost seventeen and I don't have any idea who my mate is. I bolt upright when that goes through my head. I jump out of bed, now in human form, and run to  my mother, panicking. "Mom!" I say, kinda hysterically. She looks at me and walks with me outside.

"What's wrong, dear?"

"I don't have any idea who my mate is, yet." Her eyes go wide.

"There isn't any alpha in the history of our Pack that doesn't know who their mate is by seventeen! Your birthday is in a month! When you go to bed, clear your mind and focus on the fact you need a mate. Go on." I do as she says. And I fall asleep.

You are mine, and I am yours. We can never leave each other, for my world will fall apart if we do. I whisper to a brown wolf.

No pressure or anything. The voice is clouded and slurry,  so i cant tell if I know the voice.

I know right? I laugh. We are on a giant hill, where the moon is huge. Near it is a little lake, and there are plenty of beautiful trees surrounding us.

It's not like we know everything about taking care of our pack.

So why are we chosen to unite the packs and convince humans we only attack when threatened? God, why is it always me that has these crappy jobs.

I don't know. What I do know, my love, is that you give me all the strength I need. I feel as if I can gather them all and beat God with you by my side.

That was... Cheesy. I giggle, girlishly.

Yes, it was.

You know.. I've always been a-

LILLITH UP !

What? Someone shakes me awake. I sit up and hit my head off the ceiling. I notice I'm covered in sweat.

"Mom? What's wrong?"

"You were screaming." I look past her and see Justin. He smells like pine needles, cinnamon and freshly mowed grass. He sniffs the air, as well. And then stares at me.

"I wasn't scream-" I am cut off by the unmistakable sound of screaming. I change and haul it towards the sound. We arrive outside and we see Sapphire being attacked by the Nightprowlers. I pounce at them, forgetting my own safety, caring only about my pack. I get bit on the paw and it makes me even more dangerous.

"Never. Attack. My. Pack. In. My. Territory. Again!" at every word, I kill someone. And turn around, biting at someone who was sneaking up behind me. Lots of other members of my Pack are with me, helping me save her. We lose two wolves before I finally scream "ENOUGH! What is it you bastards want with us!" I walk in front of an injured Sapphire.
