The Window

"Joey," mom says before leaving. "I have a new work schedule,today I am working from 9:00 pm to 3:00 am."
"Ok",I say sadly.She kisses me on my forehead and says, "Be safe sweetheart"
"Bye,mom"
My mom rushes out the door.I go upstairs,into my room.I plop on my bed and turn on my tv.I start watching 'Tom & Jerry'.
30 minutes later
"TAP!TAP!TAP!"
I jump up afraid,I get off my bed and walk slowly to my window.I open my window,without moving the curtains out of the way,so I can stick my head out of it but before I can ,someone climbs into my window.Without thinking I run out of my room and slam the door.I run downstairs and put on my shoes and jacket,while I am doing this the man busts through my door and runs down the stairs ,attempting to get me.

I open the front door and run like there is no tomorrow but the faster I run the faster the man runs.Still running,I pull my phone out of my pajama pants.I dial 911 ,before I can press the call button ,I trip and fall face first to the ground.

I look up for my phone,my nose was bleeding non-stop.The man finally caught up to me,he kicked the phone further way from me .The man looks at me in pity then smiles.
He says to me, "Did you really think that you would get away?"
I turn on my back to see the man more clearly. I say to the man, "Why...why are you doing this?"
"Why not?"
The man raises his giant foot up and targets my head.
