*els pov*

I wake up from a loud screeching noise.
I sit up and look around.
All I see is vines.
I get up, scared, and dust my pink dress off.
The dress has many holes, it's in rough condition.
At least I still have something.
"Mike!"
"Mike!?"

I start to run through the dark, cold hallways off the school.
"Mike, where are you!?"
I'm alone.
I keep running through the hallways and look over.
There is a hole in the wall.
I look through and see people with guns walking around on the other side. I quickly move back and hide. A light flashes inside the hole. Then it disappears. I look back through the hole, I do not see anyone. I stick my hand through the goo and pull it out. Strange. I rip it open and crawl through, falling onto the floor on the other side.

*time jump*

*still els pov*

Hopper wakes me up every morning so I know he's left for work.

"Come on, kid. Wake up." Hopper yells, banging his hand on my door. I always keep it locked when I sleep. It makes me feel safer...

I get up and without even getting dressed. I am not allowed to leave the house so there's no point in getting dressed. I walk into the living room and sit down in front of the tv. I use my mind to flip through the channels.
Hopper walks into the living room. "Don't be stupid, kid." He says, jokingly. Then he walks out the door.
"Not stupid." I mumble.
It's been so long.. since I've seen Mike. I miss him.

*mikes pov*

Me and Will are walking down the road, we're headed to the quarry. We're supposed to all meet down here today. Dustin is being dramatic and wants everyone there for a 'code red' meeting.
He's started with this 'meeting' crap about a month ago. He acts so dramatic about it though.

We get to the quarry. No one is here yet. Just me and Will.. "Wow, he was acting so annoyed over the supercom. He's not even here." I say, annoyed.
Will just nods. He's been so quiet since.. the incident. "Something wrong?" I ask.
He just looks at me with a blank expression on his face. "No." He shakes his head. "You sure, bud?" I asks once again. "I'm sure." He answers.
I worry about him a lot. It really distracts me, thinking about him and... El, at the same time.
I would look for her every second of my life if I was able to. But I can't.
Then, Dustin and Lucas come riding in on their bikes.
"Sup!" Dustin shouts, throwing his bike to the ground.

"So, whats this code red?" Lucas asks, annoyed.
"So.. remember my turtle?" Dustin asks.
Everyone nods.
"I got a new one!" He shouts. Everyone sighs in disappointment and annoyance at the same time.
"Really?!" Lucas shouts. "That's why you brought us out here!"
"Yep, and I named him Dart." Dustin replies.
Wills eyes widen. "What?" Will asks.
"Dart, remem-."
"Never mind that!" I cut him off.
"Might as well hang out today since Dustin brought us all out here." I say.
"Yep. I want to go explore in the woods." Dustin says.
"Remember that's where we found El."
Everyone looks at Dustin after he says that. Then they look at me.
I sigh. "Sure, why not." I say, sarcastically.

*els pov*

I flip through the channels. There's nothing to watch. I've watched the same shows and movies over and over. I could go outside for a change. But Hopper told me not to. Maybe I don't have to tell him.. I get up and walk over to the window, raising the blinds up. I look out around the woods around me.
There's no way someone could find me out here.
I shut the blind and walk over the door. I put my shoes on, white converse. Then I unlock all of the locks on the door. I walk outside. I remember that Hopper has a trip wire close. I walk slowly until I can see it. I step over it. "Not stupid." I say to no one in particular.

*mikes pov*

Me, Will, Dustin, and Lucas are just walking around. Dustin is finding rocks and stuffing them into the pockets. Lucas is finding rocks and throwing them at Dustin. Will is silently walking beside me.
"You think we will find her?" Will asks, randomly.
"What?"
"El.."
"Oh." I say. "I don't know.."

We get interrupted by leaves cracking.
Dustin looks up real quick. Everyone stands still. For some reason.. I actually though.. El.
Then some leaves fall from a tree. I was confident. I knew it was her.. a crow flies from the tree, screeching. That got me. Why did I actually think El would just.. be there. She's dead.

Dustin and Lucas go back to searching for rocks and me and Will continue talking. "I know how it feels.. losing someone." Will says.
"What?" I ask.
"El.." He says. I nod.
"Yeah, I thought I lost you guys.. my mom.. my brother." Will says. He's talking about when he was in the Upside Down.
"We actually thought we lost you." I say.
He shrugs. "Well, you didn't." He laughs.
That's the first time I've heard Will laugh in a while. Why did he even laugh about that? It was probably a fake laugh..

*els pov*

I'm walking in the woods. I honestly have no clue where I am anymore. I want to see him. Not in my head... I want to see him in person. I just want to hug him. My thoughts cause me to start crying. I sit down against a tree, bury my head into my knees, and cry.

"Well, my name is Mike, short for Micheal."

Voices repeat in my head..

"El, short for Eleven..."
"Night, El."

"Night, Mike."

I just want to die.

...

*mikes pov*

I thought I heard something.. "Dustin, Lucas, shh." I say.
I hear someone.. crying?
"You hear that?" I ask Will. He nods.
"Sounds like someone is crying or something." Dustin whispers.
Then him and Lucas start to quietly smack each other.
"Shut up!" I loudly whisper. I start walking towards where the cries are coming from. They get louder.. now that I think about it.. they sound more familiar.
Every step I take, the cries sound more and more familiar.
I stop when I see a girl with her head dug into her knees. She has brown, kinda short curly hair. She's wearing overalls with a grey sweatshirt underneath.
She is just crying.
I look back to Dustin and Lucas who are just staring at the girl. "What do we do?" Dustin loudly whispers. I'm guessing she heard because she raises her head up quickly. My heart dropped. It actually felt like my heart stopped for a good 5 seconds. El..
"Mike.."
I run and hug her.
"Mike.." she says.
"El!" I pull away from the hug. "You're okay!" I shout, kinda with a voice crack but I don't care at this point.

Then Dustin and Lucas join the hug, that creates a group hug. Then Will..

Sorry that I'm kinda rushing through.. I just needed Mileven reunite a little sooner.. :)
