The Nightmares/The Repeat Year.

I was sleeping.
"NO DONT GO"Halfway shouts causing me to jump out of my skin.
"What the hell?"I said sitting up next to him.
"She left again."he said.
"What?"I replied.
"My mum"He said.
"You're mum?"I said.
He turned to me and started crying.
I pulled him into my arms still clueless of what was happening.
He just cried into my shoulder.
I lay down with him hugging me.
The tears slowed and he fell asleep.
I didn't sleep until I knew he was.

The morning.
I woke up halfway was still asleep his hand tightened around me.
"Halfway"I said.
"Mmmm"he mumbled.
"Wake up"I said.
"What?"he said looking up.
"I need to talk to you about last night."I said.
His face dropped clearly he had remembered what happened.
"Do we have to?"He said.
"Kinda"I replied.
"Right okay"He said sitting up.
"I just need to know,if your gonna have nightmares I need to know how to calm you down."I said.
"You know how I never mention my mum"he said.
"Yeah?"I said.
"She died."he said a tear going down his face.
I just stayed silent.
"We were in the car on the way to school,I got out and drove down the street,a huge truck rammed into the side of the car,I saw it."he said.
I grabbed his hand.
"I ran down the street,there she was almost squashed,and she said 'Tyler look after dad for me I love you both' she died infront of my eyes and I shouted 'NO DONT GO' the blood poured down her face,she didn't deserve any of it Danielle"he said.
"I know baby I know"I said hugging him.
"I still have nightmares they come and go over the years,inside it still kills me."he said.
I hugged him tighter.
"She'd be proud of how strong you are"I said.
"You remind me of her,she had your attitude,it's probably partly why I love your presence,you bring so much attitude yet so much light at the same time"he said.
"Thank you"I said.
"I love you"He said.
"I love you too,and don't forget she'd be proud okay?"I said.
I didn't know how to reply so I just said thank you,it scared me to be honest.
Weeks passed by and he had few nightmares.
We had been together for 2 years and 3 months by now.

A letter came through the post.
"All students of Northside High,we would like to ask you all to come back for one extra year,there will be no exams but we need to go over the last year you had,Your year begins Monday."it said.
I rolled my eyes.
"GREAT"Victoria said.
"Welp,I know one thing"Ryan said.
"What?"Halfway said.
"We are taking over the rich kids parts of the school."he said.
"Definitely"I said.

MONDAY MORNING.
"I really can't be arsed"Halfway said.
"Neither can I"I replied.
"I'm sorry but I'm not going through it all I'm showing up sitting there,Stealing the student lounge and just chilling cause I know half of it."He said.
"Lucky you"I laughed.
"You can too,you know the same as me"he said.
"We'll see"I laughed.

NORTHSIDE HIGH.
"It's like Groundhog Day"Halfway LAughed.
"True dat"Jamie said.
"TO THE STUDENT LOUNGE"he said grabbing my hand.
We took up all the seats before getting reunited with all the rich twats.
"Danielle and Alisha Edwards?"Kiki said.
"Kiki"I replied.
"Still absolutely disgusting?"she said.
She seemed like such a diva now worse than before.
"Still an absolute bitch?"I replied.
Noah walked in with Tommy.
"Great"Halfway said.
"Halfway is that you?"Tommy lAughed.
"Tommy"Halfway replies.
"Are you two Still together?"He scoffed.
"Yeah"I said.
"Ew,why Danielle he's probably a serial killer"Tommy said.
"Shut the fuck up Tommy"Halfway said Standing up and towering him.
Tommy backed up noticing that halfway was a little taller than him now.
Halfway sat back down and I leaned on him playing a game on my phone.
"Puberty hit hard didn't it?"Tommy says to Halfway.
He goes to get up but I push him back down.
"Leave him,He's being a child"I said.
"Am I Danielle?"Tommy said.
"Uh huh now fuck off."I said still looking at my phone.
"Cunts"he muttered and Noah just hurried behind him.
I looked up at Halfway.
He kissed me and went to pull away but I pulled his face back to mine and started kissing him.
"PDA OVERTHERE"Someone shouts.
I stuck my middle finger up and carried on.
"I see you went back to guys."a voice said.
I instantly recognised it and pulled away.
"Callie"I said.
"Oh shit"Victoria said.
"You know I was hoping you were still single we could've linked again."She smirked.
"Fuck off"I said.
"Rude"she replies.
"I'm entitled to be rude you ruined me,you promised me everything"I said.
"That hun is why you don't trust people"She replies.
I sat back down with Halfway.
"Bye bye Dani"she winked.
I shoved my head into halfway.
"She was bisexual?"Tommy shouts.
"Fuck up tommy"Halfway shouts.

In the hallway.
"Are you okay?"Halfway said.
"Yeah I'm fine"I replied.
"You don't seem it."He said.
"IM FINE HALFWAY."I said abruptly.
He just stayed silent.
"Look I'm sorry I just didn't bank on her showing up."I said.
"It's ok."he said.
"No it's not cause I'm taking my anger out on you and it's not fair I'm sorry I just wanna forget her even showing up,you are my main focus from now on."I said.
"I said it was okay."He said hugging me.
"As if I'd let her do anything to you anyway"He continues.
I giggled.
