"Doctor Bonneville, would you please organize these files? My last patient will be coming shortly" Oliver Thredson requested as he handed the woman a large stack of papers before taking another breath of his puffing cigarette.
The two of them had been leisurely working in his office for the past hour, talking about his patients and what files needed to be stapled and which ones didn't. They worked mostly on evaluating his Psychiatric clients and what procedures they would need to take for rehabilitation as Doris would Silently listen to the conversations he shared with them. It was all mostly casual talk before he would go on to ask masked questions such as, 'What drove you to do this', or, 'What do you think?'. It was all fun and games to watch as Doris would hand him a few files as he spoke to whoever sat in the chair across the desk or would keep to herself and read about a few others patients here at Briarcliff's Mental Institution.
"Who's next?"
"A woman by the name of Lana Winters" He replied, Doris's brow furrowing as she recalled the familiar name.
"Lana Winters!?" She repeated, Oliver looking over at her with a curious expression spread across his face. "I,I met her j-just a few days before co-coming here to Briarcliff" Bonneville paused to lift the woman's files into her hands. "She was a reporter. She told me she was making a story about the Mental Institution"
"Is that so?" Thredson mumbled before placing the cigarette between his thin lips.
"Yes, why was she sent here?"
"She is a homosexual"
"You can be sent to an asylum for being a homosexual!?"
"It would seem so..." He shrugged before taking the file from her hands and placing it on top of his desk when the door was quietly opened. Both Oliver and Doris looked up to see a tall, brown haired woman with a frightened look in her eyes walk in. Her steps were slightly hesitant but she eventually found herself in front of Thredson's cluttered desk. "Miss Winters I suppose"
"Yes" The woman softly nodded in reply.
"Please, have a seat" Oliver added before pointing to the chair behind her. "I'm Doctor Oliver Thredson and this is Doctor Bonneville, our Forensic Pathologist"
"We've met" The woman mumbled as Doris sent her a pitiful smile.
"Wonderful then, this visit shouldn't take long at all. I would just like to ask you a few questions first"
After that, Doris simply sat down on the sofa in the back of the room before busying herself with organizing piles and piles of client files. Most of them weren't even current patients, as a majority of the papers read Contained or Deceased. A few interesting papers caught her eye though, as some were about people with Schizophrenia or Hallucinations. There papers described them as demonic and violent; never seeming to stay silent for a single moment. The words sent shivers down her spine as she bunched them up and lied them back into their designated vanilla folder. All the while, both Oliver Thredson and Lana Winters conversated about multiple types off questions. Why do you think you think this way? How long has this went on? Have you ever tried thinking differently? They were vague, straight forward inquiries-half of them Doris didn't even catch as she found herself caught up in the patient files that surrounded her. Eventfully though, as she sifted through the loose papers, did she come upon one particular subject of interest.
