My Brother?

Kana POV

It was a bright sunny afternoon when I was playing in the garden with my sister Amalia.

The day was so wonderful with a soothing breeze.

The warmth of the daylight felt so good on our faces. However, that's when we were called upon by out mother.

"My angels come here for a second"

Her voice was so sweet and gentle. We walked towards our mother as she looks at us with a gental face

She hold us close in her arms "There will be a day when I'm no longer here with you. When that day comes I want you the both of you to remember to be yourself no matter. Don't forget who you are."

"Even if Daddy tells us to be more ladylike" Amalia said with a smile as I giggle at her question.

Our mother chuckles

"Yes sweetie even if its daddy. Follow your hearts no matter what"

"Yay!" as Amalia and I yell and start running back to play, my mother stopped me for a brief moment.

"A moment Kana, I must speak with you" I turn back to look at Amalia "Alone" My mother said stern.

I nodded at Amalia as she walked away

"Yes My queen," I kneeled in front of her, however, My mother did not approve "Ughhh How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that. Only call me by Mom, Mother or, my favorite Mommy."

I see her eyes lit up with big sparkles in them

This is another side of my mother that most don't get to see.

"Um, mother is fine" I awkwardly chuckled.

"Very well" as she sighs in defeat and pulls me into her lap.

"Kana, now that you are 9-year old, I think you have a right to know." I looked at her confused

"To know what mother?"

"You see the day we found you, We didn't only found you in the basket but a note along with it."

"In this note someone had written for us to take care of you, to raise you as one of our own. Bless the Lord that we had found you because you were a blessing for us."

she places her soft hand on my right cheek as I am trying to take in all this information at once.

"At the end of this message states when the child turns 9, when the child powers show only then must you tell your child to find her family at Oma island after locating her twin brother first."

What?!

"The location and name of your brother were not given sadly." as mother looks at me with a glum face.

I looked at her with wide eyes. My family? I have a brother? I have to leave? A million thoughts were rushing through my mind.
