Dear Jaren,

We were in North Carolina for too long and the police almost had us; that's going to happen again if we don't leave Alabama within the next few days.

There's going to be a march on Washington D.C. in two months and we have to be there. King is supposedly going to give a speech. If we leave now, we can probably take the long way to throw off the cops. Of course they'll be looking for us there.

This could be a big break, babe. Not only for the equality of blacks and whites, but for you and me, too. We could finally be known as heroes instead of fugitives! We have a lot of planning to do with the guys, though.

Things could easily go downhill from here.

John
