It had been a week since they were back from their honeymoon and Bell and Jamie were almost settled into a new routine. After the summer vacation had ended Jamie would start a new school in the city and Bell would continue as Dean's personal assistant, when Jamie started school the new term. Dean had insisted she take the last few weeks off the summer vacation getting Jamie adjusted to their new life in the city.

Dean found it harder and harder to stay back after hours. So, he started to delegate most of the extra work to his juniors. Every night since they had returned from their honeymoon, he had never missed a dinner or a chance to tuck Jamie into bed. While they were away on their honeymoon, Jamie stayed with his grandmother and Dean had hired a professional decorator to convert the bedroom nearest to his and Bell's into a little boy's dream room.

Bell and Jamie were busy playing a game of tic-tac- toe on the ground next to the fire place when they heard the elevator door open. Dean usually came home at this time and Jamie got up off the carpet and ran to his father. Dean was about to remove his jacket to hang it on the coat hanger, but he was unable to as he was steamed rolled by a little body of warm loveable flesh. Dean quickly held his son in place, reached over and placed his laptop on the side table next to the door, he went down on his knees.

"Daddy!" Jamie screamed before he jumped into his father's arms. His two little dogs followed wagging their little tails behind them. The puppies had made the move into the condo along with their owner even though Henrietta had insisted they could stay with her. Jamie was insistent that his pups should always be with him and Dean could not argue with his son as he had come to like the little beasts very much himself.

"Hey superman!" He laughed swinging his son over his shoulder.

"I'm Spiderman dad." Jamie giggled, Dean was tickling him.

"Okay then Spiderman, where's your mom?" He laughed.

"Here!" Bell called from the living room. He walked towards the sound of her voice with his son over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes still giggling hysterically as Dean continued to tickle his tummy. He placed Jamie on the ground and reached into the inside pocket of his jacket and pulled out a small neatly gift-wrapped box.

"This is for you Spiderman," Jamie grabbed the box from Dean's hand and was about to run into his room, Bell called out to him sternly.

"Hey young man, where is your manners?"

"Thanks dad." He called back as he continued to his room, Dean smiled.

"You know you're going to spoil him with all these gifts." Bell warned half-heartedly, she had no worries as she knew Jamie was a well-balanced child and she had taught him the value of the things around him. She also knew Dean was catching up on lost time with his son, she could not blame him for wanting to give his son everything, she would however put a stop to his excessive gift giving if she felt it would affect Jamie's outlook on life.

"I want him to be happy." Dean sighed happily, he turned to face her, Bell smiled warmly, all her love reflecting on her eyes for him to see.

"He is beyond happy, you're finally with us." She whispered walking up to him.

"I know but I keep thinking I have to make-up for a lot." He sighed, Bell wrapped her arms around his waist resting her cheek on his back, her breast pressed up against him. He held her hand leaning back onto her and she kissed him on the shoulder.

"How was your day?" She asked.

"Long, I wanted to run away home every hour."

"Well, you are the boss you know, you could take another week off." She said innocently as she released him, coming around to stand before him, reaching up she kissed him. Hugging  him around the neck, she gave a contented sigh, "...I love you and I wish you would take the week off."
