The Sound Of Silence (Hyakkimaru x reader)

Okay. Though I did say earlier that I will be kind of going my own way on the plot, I will keep the demons. And they will be killed in the same order as the original show. So that way it can be a but easier for hyakkimaru to get his parts back. Cause tbh I have no other idea on how I could get them back. So, just letting you know! Though I may have some of the fights to be a bit more different than in the show itself)

It was the next morning. And I'll admit. I struggled to sleep.
I think its because I had that thought in the back of my head, of how my parents would think?
At this age, I should be living in my own house by now. But I never could afford one yet. So I'm obviously living with my parents.
So... Maybe they shouldn't worry. But what if they worry that I got kidnapped? That would mean by now they already have a little search party for me.
So maybe I should go back.
But for some odd reason I didn't want to go back. I wanted to keep exploring with the man, and dororo!  To be honest, I enjoy their company! Dororo was like a little brother to me, and the man... I'm not so sure yet. Maybe... Maybe like a friend?
I'll hang out around them. Just a bit longer... My parents won't mind, right?

Soon enough, the three of of us were walking around the forest. More like, dororo and I following the man. I think he likes to explore. And doesn't really like staying put forever. Same would go here! I hate staying in one area. And I've always wanted ti explore the world, outside of our village. Maybe that's the reason why I don't wanna go back right now. I want to explore.

"Ya know, there is a village near by. And I hear that they had a monster problem going on. So maybe we can go there and have Mr.silence slay the beast. And you know what we get for saving a village! A reward! And there a rich village I hear. So that could mean we get money!" Dororo seemed to have an interest in getting money. And becoming rich. He has an eye for becoming a millionaire, and showing of his money to the rest who are bellow him. He's just a kid. So the chances of him becoming rich now would be slim.

"Eh? A village?" And honesty, the thought of going to a new village sounded nice. Though I like to explore, I don't wanna be in this forest forever. And if what Dororo says about the man is true, on how he can slay a demon with ease, then I i dont see why not? It may be doing them a favor.

"I suppose we could go over. See if they are in need of someone to help them." My voice was a mutter, knowing dororo cares for the riches. And not as much as helping out a village.

"I liked the way you talk!" The boy patted my back, a snarky smile growing on his face after hearing me agreeing to go over.

Before I couldn't say another word, he ran over to the man, and took his arm. Stopping him at a halt. He was explaining to him what was going on the best he could. Though we all know that he cannot hear the little boy.
But to my surprise, did the man start walking towards the direction of the village. Heck, even dororo seemed a little surprised. But he was glad that he got the man to got that direction.

"Hah! Guess he's interested in it too! Cmon, let's go before he gets too far ahead" doror ran after the man once more, and I followed behind.

Like I said before, he had an eye for the riches. Though I love the kid, he has a flaw that may have to be worked on. I get the feeling he's an orphan. I never see any parental figure with him, and in sure a good parent wouldn't want their child wandering off like this. That could explain the slight arrogance going on.

Maybe I could help him with that. Maybe if he's an orphan kid, I can help raise him. Besides, he seems to enjoy my company. And it could probably help if he had someone to help him grow to be mature, wise, and strong. Physically, and mentally.

We continued to walk along, a silence between us. Dororo was dragging the man by the arm, which he allowed. While I follwed just behind them, my eyes scanning the new area.
I notice the further we go along, the more mad-made things I see. So that must mean we are getting closer to said village.

"I think this is it!"
In front of us was an enterance to a village. Inside looked to be well made and fancy homes. And the people that I could see from here inside, seemed to be wealthy. Judging by their outfits. That seems to be well made, with good materials.
How could they be struggling with a monster?

Sup. So, I have noticed that I've brought a bit more attention to Dororo. Though this is a hyakkimaru x reader. And I apologize for that lol. Right now its easier to bring more attention to dororo than hyakkimaru. Cause dororo can talk, and its easier to keep a conversation going with someone who can talk- obviously.
But further on it should be easier to bring the attention to hyakkimaru.
And I basically made the previous chapter to make it up and bring the attention towards hyakkimaru a bit more.
So, ya. I'll try to bring a bit more attention towards him lol.
