Patty's pov

I can't think of what to write.  I need a fresh idea for a song, but my mind is blank.  All I can do is stare out the window and watch.  Watch people.  Watch animals.  Watch trees, even.  It's a sunny day, not too many clouds in the sky.  Maybe I'll take a walk or something, I can't just keep sitting here.
I put down my pen and paper and put some socks and shoes on.  I walk downstairs and dig in the cabinet for some Pokémon gummies to take with me.  As I grab my keys, a car pulls up my driveway.  I don't remember inviting anyone over...
"Anyone around?  It's Ben, coming to say hi.  And if Patty isn't here, hi wall.  Nice to see you, my friend!"  I look out the foyer window to see Ben talking to my door.  Wow.  Okay then.  I open it.
"Heya Ben, what's up?  I was just about to take a walk."  Ben invites himself in, taking a seat at the kitchen table.  He pats his hand on the seat next to his, and I walk over to claim it.
"How's the writing coming along?  Hmm?"  His face...  That expression... No...  I won't allow it.
"I'm working on it, slowly but surely."  Aka no progress whatsoever.  Ben looks me in the eyes, and for some reason I start sweating.  Okay...  "Ben why did you randomly show up without calling me?"
"Meh.  I was bored."
"You're always bored!"
"I know."  He moves his face closer, his eyes locked with mine.  "Wanna go for a walk?"
"Sure, might as well."  I go to the hook looking for my keys only to find them in my pocket.  I'm so smart, honestly.
"C'mon, before I eat those gummies.  Don't think I didn't notice them sticking out of your pocket."  Ben is leaning against the wall with a smirk on his face.  I reach down to pull the gummies out of my pocket, but Ben uncrossed his arms to reveal he had stolen them.  How in the hell did I not realize?  I feel dazed.  It's probably just the weather, it's been a warm summer week.  Ben walks past me and holds the door open for me.  I walk out, glad that I'm wearing a tank top.  Ben, on the other hand...  Eh, he can fend for himself.
We start walking down the driveway together in silence.  I keep walking on, and almost didn't notice Ben had bent down, picking a flower from the grassy spot under a tree in my yard.  He catches up to me and tucks it behind my ear.
"Where do you want to go, sunshine?"
