Chapter 4
Niall & I woke up early that morning & went out to breakfast. I couldn't help but feel sad, he was leaving this afternoon for about 2 months. I tried not showing it, but I think he knew I was. He grabbed my hand & looked me in the eyes & said "Melody, I know it is going to be sad when we have to say goodbye, but we have another three hours. Let's make the best of it!" he whispered smiling. I smiled & kissed him.
We went to the beach for a bit. It was too cold to get in the water so we just walked along the tide. We went back home to grab his bags. I drove him to the airport & met with the other boys there. Kelli & Louis were talking away from the group. Their flight leaves in one hour.
Niall grabs me by my waist & pulls me close to him. He leans his forehead against mine, looking me dead in the eye. "Melody, I don't want you to miss any school or work. Please, be safe. I'm going to miss you so much. I'll call & text you as much as possible. I love you so much, Mel. Please be careful. Stay with Kelli & Dani as much as you can, I don't want you to be alone. Or go with your brother, just be safe. I don't want anything bad to happen to my love. I love you, Melody." He said before kissing me. Neither one of us pulled away for the longest time. I never wanted this moment to end. I didn't want him to go off to tour.
We finally had to pull away. He started to walk away but I grabbed his arm & pulled him for a hug. I held him tightly, not letting him go. Tears swelled into my eyes. They threated spilling out. I didn't want to cry in front of Niall, but I couldn't hold them back anymore. "I love you Niall. You be safe. Call me when you land. I love you so much, Nialler."
He wiped away my tears & kissed me softly. "I will. I love you, Mel." I watched him slowly turn around & walk over to the other boys. Tears streamed down my face. I wish I was going with them.
Kelli walked over to me & hugged me. "He'll be okay, Mel. I'll stay over at your place if you want," she said. I nodded my head & cried into her shoulder.
That night, I pulled out my laptop & bought tickets to go to their concert in a month. I am going to surprise Niall & show up backstage after the concert. I miss him so much already. I fell asleep waiting for Niall to call that night.
