Dear Diary,
I finally admitted to Alisha that I had a crush on her. Here's how it went. It wasn't our turn to be on the court so we just sat on the bench and watched. We watched the tip off and watched our team play. Then it was our turn to be on the court. Alisha had the ball. The defenders were on her. She tried to shoot but missed. I caught the rebound. Just like that, all the defenders came for me. I shot the ball and it hit the blackboard and fell right into the basket. At the next dead ball, coach pulled us out of the game and sent the other players in. Alisha said to me "Ryan, I need to tell you something." I told her to tell me. She said "I don't know how to say this, but I like you." I was so happy. What luck! She liked me this whole time. "What a coincidence!" I said. "I like you too!" Then I opened up the gift I'd chosen for her. "Here, I got something for you." I said, opening up my palm. Alisha looked at the ring like she couldn't believe her eyes. She didn't move. I took the ring and slipped it on her finger. "Thank you, Ryan." she said, blushing and smiling. The best thing today wasn't winning the game, it was the fact that Alisha Kasha liked me back!
