As a kid Coen Austin was Happy he joked around he had fun he played pranks on his older brother Luke, he was just normal. His second year of junior high changed that about him, suddenly he was sad and stressed and mostly frustrated. He didn't understand how his life changed so much just over night for no specific reason he was making his life work but it was hard through junior high he had little friends but the ones he had were the best ever caring and sweet, Coen is now in 11th grade. Still struggling with his emotions we meet him the morning of October,14, 2018.
*Coen's alarm goes off*
Coen: *wakes up, turning it off*
Luke: *walks in* time to awaken little bro school is calling your name
Coen: fuck off *gets up, walking to his closet*
Luke: hey I'm just trying to make you laugh you know like the way you used to
Coen: *stops for a minute* good luck
Luke: *sympathetic look* I'm sorry Co
Coen: ya shit happens *picks out his outfit, walking to his bathroom*
Luke: *shakes his head, leaving the room*
Coen: *walks into his bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror*
*Ever since that night Coen hasn't been the same maybe his sadness wasn't a overnight Change secretly he had a reason he just didn't say, looking at himself now he doesn't see the same person he used to*
Coen: *takes a quick shower, getting dressed in a plane white t-shirt and a black hoodie, along with tan jeans*
Luke: *knocks* did you die in there
Coen: no I'm coming *opens the door*
Luke: your hair is still wet *ruffles his hair*
Coen: *moves* ya I didn't have time to dry it
Luke: sorry buddy *puts an arm around him* come on Mom's got breakfast
*As the pair walk downstairs Coen would get a reminder of all the happiness that went around in this house, all the Christmases and birthday celebrations everything that made him smile, yet it doesn't now*
Coen: *walks into the kitchen*
Luke: *right with him* hello momma how are you today
Alice: lovely Luke thank you *hands the boys their plates*
Coen: thank you *quietly starts eating*
Alice: *looks at Luke*
Luke: *shrugs, starting to eat*
*Alice missed the way her baby boy used to be but she could understand how being a teenager especially in this time would change someone, she always let him know she cared and was there but he never talked about anything*
Coen: *eating slowly*
Luke: so Coen, make any new friends lately
Coen: *looks* no
Luke: oh..ok *goes back to eating*
Coen: *finishes, cleaning his plate*
Alice: Coen baby have you talked to your coach about playing this season
Coen: ya he said he wasn't sure because of my shoulder *packs his backpack*
Alice: *Pats his back* I'm sorry baby
Coen: it's ok mom I'll get there eventually
Luke: *grabs his backpack* ya just keep that head up
Coen: *nods*
Alice: *hands the boys their lunches* here you go
Luke: *puts it in his backpack, kissing his mom on the cheek* thanks momma
Coen: *packs his backpack, putting it on and hugging his mom* ya thanks Mom
Alice: *hugs back tightly* your welcome my sweethearts now have a good day and I'll see you later *pulls back, moving some of coen's hair*
Coen: *little smile* we will mom
Luke: come on baby bro let's get it
Coen: *kisses his mom's cheek, walking out to the car with his brother*
*Luke is coen's twin brother he's older by 2 minutes and he doesn't let Coen forget*
Luke: *gets in, starting the car*
Coen: *gets in, buckling*
Luke: *buckles, starting the car and starting driving to school*
Coen: *looking out the window*
Luke: *glances at him* hey buddy you ok
Coen: *looks* um ya just tired that's all
Luke: *driving* are you sure
Coen: ya positive
Luke: *nods, going back to driving*
Coen: *checks his phone*
Luke: wow haven't seen you on that for awhile *chuckle*
Coen: ya well there hasn't been a reason to
Luke: what changed
Coen: nothing I guess
Luke: you make a lot of sense brother
Coen: thank you Luke
Luke: of course *pulls into the school, turning the car off* here we are
Coen: ya don't remind me *unbuckles*
Luke: *unbuckles* try to have a good day?
Coen: good luck
Luke: *gets out grabbing his bag* why?
Coen: *does the same* it's just not that easy
Luke: ya I know *starts walking*
Coen: *follows him*
Luke: *opens the door for them*
Coen: *walks in* yup smells like hell
Luke: *walks in behind him* really?
Coen: yes really
Luke: *shakes his head* hey go find your friends I'll see you in first hour *Pats his shoulder*
Coen: ya ok *goes on his way*
Luke: *goes on his*
*Luke always cared about his brother more than he cared about himself but he never got through to him they hung out with different people and Luke had way more friends one good thing about it is they had three classes today with each other so Luke could watch him*
Coen: *walking down the halls*
Callie: Coen Austin! *Runs up behind him*
Coen: what's up Callie pierce
Callie: looking for you! The whole gang is waiting
Coen: sorry to disappoint
Callie: nah come on *grabs his hand, leading him back to the empty class they hang out it*
Abby: there he is
Parker: ya man you're late
Coen: ya sorry
Callie: *sits next to Parker* it's fine huh guys
Abby and Parker: yes
Coen: wow all together and everything
Abby: hell ya dark one
Parker: dark one?
Abby: I got nothing else ok
Callie: wow you two are perfect for each other
Coen: *small smile*
Callie: that's new look he smiled
Coen: I don't know what you are talking about
Abby: lies
Parker: totally
Coen: the Bell is gonna ring so I'm dipping *turns to leave*
Callie: *gets up* coming with
Coen: *opens the door for her*
Callie: such a gentleman *walks out*
Coen: *follows* what can I say
Callie: *walking* so are you doing any better
Coen: *looks at her* depends on your definition
Callie: I'm sorry
Coen: ya well what's done is done *walking*
Callie: *walking* have you talked to your brother
Coen: *walking* ya not really
Callie: Co you need to talk to someone *walking*
Coen: *walking* ya I know
Callie: *hugs his arm* at least you're here
Coen: *sighs* ya I'm here
Callie: *gets him to his class* now mister go in there and learn something
Coen: ok Callie
Callie: *gives him a little hug right as the bell rings* toodles
Coen: bye
Callie: *runs off*
Coen: *walks into class, sitting down*
Luke: *hurries and sits next to him* hey
Coen: hi
Luke: *takes his books out*
Teacher: ok class we have a new student today his name is Night Remington
Coen: *looks up*
Night: *makes eye contact, smiling*
