In G1, Sideswipe had a twin brother called Sunstreaker (who was a femme in the Animated continuity for some reason), so, in Aligned, my headcannon is that Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are twins (from a split spark kind of thing) and that Sunstreaker is on Cybertron and doesn't know what's going on
