Rye's POV:
I could hear the disappointment in his voice and I couldn't help but tear up a bit.
R: Mikey, I don't want to let go of you. We have only spoken for an hour but I feel a connection with you. My number is, ***********, I've booked you the Premier INN, take care, message me.
M: Bye Ryan... Thank you for everything.
Mikey's POV:
I hung up the phone and sighed. That went... well. I made my way to the Premier INN and checked in at the front desk. "Uh, room for Mikey Cobban?" I asked, she looked confused. "Sorry sir, I only have a Mikey Beaumont," she replied. My face dropped, please say he wasn't lying to me, I can't go back to my father. She carried on tapping away on her computer and said, "the note says that the room was booked by a man called Ryan Beaumont for someone called Mikey Beaumont" she said, smiling at me sympathetically. I realised that I never actually told Rye my last name, "yeah, that's me" I said and took the key from her grasp. "Mikey Beaumont" I whispered to myself, "I like it."
I unlocked the door to my room, immediately pulling out my phone, typing in Rye's number. I felt something with Rye, and it scared me. I've always been the type of person to push people away, I don't want to ruin their life, but I wanted this to change, I wanted Rye.
Me: Hey Rye, I think this is the right number it's Mikey, I wanted to thank you for tonight, it really helped me x
Rye❣️: Hey Mikey. It's no worries, I really felt a connection with you. I hardly know anything about you. I understand it may take a while for you to open up to me, but I'll wait for you. Did you get the hotel room? x
Me: Yes I did! Thank you x
Rye❣️: You're welcome, Mikey Beaumont :) x
Me: Oh god! My last name is Cobban by the way x
Rye❣️: Mikey Beaumont sounds better x

I smiled and turned off my phone, plugging it in and getting into bed, not having to worry about the next time my dad would be hitting me. I drifted off to sleep, only thinking of one thing, Rye.
