Mikey's POV:

My voice was shaking and my hands were trembling, but I knew this was the right thing to do.

R: That's why I'm here sir. What's on your mind?

M: Please call me Mikey.. I'm only 19.. I've never done this before, I'm scared.

R: Don't be scared Mikey. Just, tell me what you're doing right now.

M: Well.. I'm currently sat in a park on a swing after running away from my abusive father and drunk mother.

My voice trailed off at the end... Did I say too much?

Rye's POV:

Sat in a park? I thought to myself.

R: Mikey, it's going to be okay. Just don't do anything stupid. I know at home it isn't perfect, but those battle scars aren't worth it.

M: I just don't know what to do Rye. I can't stop overthinking. I can't stop hating myself and everything to do with my life

M: Okay, well, I live in a small house. My mum is always drunk and my dad hits me. I self h-

R: No, Mikey. Not that story. Tell me about yourself.

M: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not a very interesting person, you don't want to know about me.

R: I do, and not just because it's my job. You don't have to tell me a lot, just tell me one thing, it could help you.

M: I guess so. Well, I love to sing but I don't do it often as I never have the time. I usually sing in this park as it's my safe place.

We spoke for another 40 minutes about music and singing and instruments and everything around the subject, Mikey even laughed a few times. We were half way through arranging a hotel for him to stay the night in, which I would pay for, when my boss came over, looking sympathetic but annoyed. "Ryan, you must come off the phone now. You have been speaking for almost an hour and there are other people that need to speak to you. Please get off the phone" he was nice about it but there was still a hiss of anger.

R: Hey Mikey.. I have to go, I'm sorry, my manager is making me.

M: Oh
