Let's just say after I said that, Mr. I'm The Best, ran away with his dragon tail between his legs.

The rest of my classes were interesting, to say the least. My second class was potion making. News travels fast around the school I guess. The teacher, Mr. Dayhide, wouldn't even let me near the equipment or other students. I would get an occasional glance in my direction, but that was about it. Everyone stayed a couple of feet away from me...at all times. I decide to go to my room after all of my classes.

When I walk into my dorm room, I see a person just sitting in a chair, staring at the door. A girl to be exact, with icy white hair, pale blue skin, sky blue eyes, and a purple short sleeve shirt and a pair of black jeans. It is almost as if she was waiting for me.

"I've been expecting you Evin," she says, and I freeze.  Her words sending chills down my spine.

She then smiles and laughs.

"I'm kidding. My name is Ivy. Nice to meet you," she says, extending her arm. I ignore her arm, and I look at her skeptically.

"What are you?" I ask.

"I am a water bender. If the rumors are true, you're a human, right?" she says and I nod.

"Rumors sure spread quite quickly around here," I say.

"Yeah, I was told by that woman, the one with the big square glasses. She was the one who showed me around."

"Ms. Cassidy?" I ask.

"Yeah her! She even asked me if I wanted to switch dorms. She looked at me as if I were crazy when I said no."

"You're not afraid of humans?"

"Nah. My parents are humans, I don't see why there is so much fuss. They aren't too bad," Ivy says looking me up and down.

I don't answer, I just turn around and go about my business. I grab one of my books from the shelf beside my bed, lay down and start reading.

"A book about dreamers, huh?" Ivy asks. She is way too talkative for my liking. I nod.

"You'll never actually see one ya know? They went into hiding many years ago," she says and I simply nod again. I wish she would just stop talking.

"You're not..." Ivy is interrupted by a knock at the door.

"I'll get it," I say mumbling as I walk to the door. I put on a fake smile,  just wanting to be left alone. I open the door to see a very familiar face, the dude from my first class. I sigh. "What do you..." I am cut off by him pushing past me, actually making contact to my "human skin".

"Hello, my name's Griffon, what's yours?" he says to Ivy, reaching out to shake her hand.

"Ivy," she says, shaking his hand.

"I thought you might want to get away from her. She is a human if you didn't know," he says pointing to me. I just sigh and watch as they leave.

I guess I wanted this, no one bugging me. I take in Ivy's side of the room, then ours together. It doesn't look too bad, hers just has a lot more color to it...

"Dinner will start in an hour, anyone who is late will not get fed," a crackly voice says, coming from the intercom

"Dinner will start in an hour, anyone who is late will not get fed," a crackly voice says, coming from the intercom.

I sigh, setting an alarm for dinner, then go back to reading.

I hear screams at first. I then see the cause of the screaming. It's flames, flames caused by my powers. Everyone pointing at me in terror. So many screams... so many screams. I can't believe I did this. How could I? Could I actually do th...

I wake up in a cold sweat. I look around... still in my dorm room.

Thump... Something heavy hit the floor.

I pick up the Dreamer book from beside me, putting it on the nightstand next to my bed. I feel around for the switch and turn on the lamp beside my bed, laying there for a while to get my eyes to readjust.

I look over to see if Ivy was the one to make the noise. She isn't in her bed... she hasn't come back from being with that dude. I need to see what fell... But do I really? I mean I am definitely not scared. Pfft. Me. Scared? No way... Okay, maybe a little scared.

I muster all the courage I have and get up to see what fell to the floor.

I look over to where I heard the sound come from, a book. A book is on the ground.

The title read "Why You Shouldn't Trust Humans," by Pip Peterson.

Ironic right? A coincidence? No, it has to have been placed there purposefully. I mean there is no place for that to have come from. I mean it is sitting in the middle of the floor, almost perfectly centered. Is someone trying to threaten me? I mean it is possible? Do they really think I am a human?

I slowly pick up the book, I notice a neon pick sticky note coming from the top of the book. I open the book to the page which the sticky note was on.

My heart stops when I read the words highlighted in a fluorescent yellow, "If you ever encounter a human, kill it as soon as possible."
